Good Points: Good central location and secure car parking.
Bad Points: Even though I had a superior room, it had lots of damp patches visible all over the bedroom. Noisy elevater which was next to my room.
Further Comments: I would definitely use this hotel again, being a female lone traveller the secure car park was a big benefit when arriving during the hours of darkness. I would have liked to know how to access it though prior to my arrival as the hotel is situated on a busy one way main road. I would definitely stay at this hotel again due to its great location for the town centre but I would ensure that I did not have a room next to the elevator as when it is in use it is very noisy.

Good Points: Clean, spacious room. Tea and coffee good. Bathroom very nice.
Bad Points: Quite noisy, bed rather hard, pillows uncomfortable.
Further Comments: We enjoyed our stay, despite the features of the room we did not like. The reception staff were very good. However, the restaurant for breakfast was a little disappointing. It was clear that there were not enough staff and keeping up with demand ie keeping the various buffet items supplied was problematic. That said, the food was good and the waiting staff very pleasant.

Good Points: Centrally located. Comfortable bed. Pleasant room with plenty of space.
Bad Points: Would have preferred more choice of channels on the T.V. and/or DVD player.
Further Comments: Very friendly staff and excellent and comfortable seating in reception and bar areas. Only criticism was that we went to make use of the 20% reduction offer for early diners which stated was available between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. At 5.30pm I was informed that the brasserie was not opening until 6pm. and that they were not sure where or what meals were subject to this offer until the chef arrived.To qualify for this offer you had to order before 6.20pm. It was nearly ten past six when the chef arrived and stated the offer applied to meals in the bar.When I attempted to order meals at the bar the young man behind the bar was unaware that the 20% applied to bar meals. It was 6.15 before this was resolved and I was able to order at the reduced rate. I am aware however that other people ordered meals at the bar during this time and did not receive the discount.One other minor matter was the fact that you could not gain access to the leisure area without going outside despite an internal door which was only able to be used by members of staff using a code.

Good Points: Excellent fresh breakfast.Good space in room with desk and settee
Bad Points: Poor outlook from room.Rather thin walls between rooms so a bit noisy
Further Comments: Worcester seems to have a bad traffic problem so time from motorway turnoff to Hotel might have been helpful.

Good Points: The location was excellent.
Bad Points: A little pricey.
Further Comments: The location was excellent, a good quality hotel with very friendly helpful staff, the room was of a good standard with very comfortable beds. Overall a very enjoyable stay!!!

Bad Points: Room lacked air conditioning
Further Comments: The staff at this hotel are excellent. Everyone was very accomodating. The renovation of this hotel was very good. We had benn staying at the Star since 1986. However, with the rooms in the new addition facing West, it would be a good idea to install air conditioning.

Further Comments: Hotel was very central to the town. The rooms were spacious and the staff very friendly. Overall, a good hotel to stay in.

Bad Points: Use of cheap TV's detracts from the general experience somewhat.
Further Comments: I booked this hotel knowing only what was on this site and the hotels own and then had it recomended afterwards by a family member. It pretty much lived up to all expectations, I only have a couple of minor issues, in a recently refurbished hotel, expecially at this level, I would expect more than a cheap, value brand, traditional CRT television in the room. Secondly there was a slight but apparent downward slope from the foot to the head of the bed which was a little disorientating for me. These things however did not do enough to dull my enjoyment of the stay and my appreciation of what is a very nice hotel indeed.

Good Points: Spotlessly clean. Bathrooms well equipped and also very clean. Efficiently run and service cheerful. Car parking worked well.
Bad Points: Value for money; I really can't suggest any improvement at this level. We were very comfortable.
Further Comments: Centrally situated, we booked as we were attending a local sporting tournament and location for this was excellent. Also, we could walk into the centre of the city easily, with good range of coffee shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful and housekeeping in particular was of high standard. Bedrooms were well equipped and the beds a good size and firm mattresses. Bathroom was also spotless and well equipped.
