The George Hotel is situated in the centre of Cheltenham Spa, on a tree- lined avenue, two minutes walk from the town centre. From M5: Leave the M5 at junction 11 (not 10 or 11a) and follow signs for Cheltenham. At the traffic lights (T.G.I. Fridays will be on the right), follow the fork to the left. Keep straight on this road, past the train station and over the mini roundabout. At the next set of lights turn right into St Georges Road. The hotel is approximately of a mile on the left. From the M4 and Swindon: Leave M4 at Junction 15, taking the A419 towards Cirencester, before reaching Cirencester take the A417 sign posted Gloucester & Cheltenham. Carry on the A417 for about 14 miles, at the Air Balloon Pub turn left at the roundabout onto the A436 to Gloucester for about 2 miles, then turn right onto the A46 to Cheltenham. Continue following signs for Cheltenham Town Centre via the Shurdington Road and Bath Road. Joining the one way system, turn left into Oriel Road, carry on over a set of lights, as you approach a second set of lights try and get into the middle lane (the Town Hall should be on your left). Go straight over the lights and across the Promenade. ATTENTION - The traffic flows right, you need to go straight on, into St Georges Road. The hotel is on the right hand side just after the next set of lights. From the A40: Enter Cheltenham following signs for the town centre. Follow the one way system into Bath Road and go over the lights until you reach a junction next to the Playhouse Theatre. Turn right into Oriel Road, carry on over a set of lights, as you approach a second set of lights try and get into the middle lane (the Town Hall should be on your left). Go straight over the lights and across the Promenade. ATTENTION - The traffic flows right, you need to go straight on, into St Georges Road. The hotel is on the right hand side just after the next set of lights.
