Trerice is a fine Elizabethan manor house dating from around 1573 and built by Sir John Arundell. The front of the Trerice is approached across a lawned forecourt enclosed by high walls. The front facade of the grey limestone house has ornate and curvaceous gables and mullioned windows.
One of the most noteworthy features of Trerice is its plasterwork, obviously created by a craftsman of some considerable skill. The great hall has a particularly impressive ceiling. Trerice also contains fine furniture, fireplaces, furniture, clocks and portraits.
The house has an attractive garden, orchard and a lawnmower exhibition housed in the barn.
