The Weir is a riverside garden situated on a bend in the River Wye. The garden originally belonged to the adjacent house which is now a nursing home.

The riverbank is quite steep for most of the garden, and several paths at different levels take you through it from the car park.

One path takes you to the bank of the river where you can enjoy a view of the garden above you, which is quite densely planted in some areas.

The opposing riverbank is low farmland, and the view extends as far as the Black Mountains.

Unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. No toilet facilities. Picnic in the car park overlooking the river.
