Stokesay Castle is a very picturesque 13th century fortified manor house situated in wonderful countryside. It's the most well preserved building of its type in England and features architectural styles spanning several centurys which add to its unique charm.
A half timbered Jacobean gatehouse leads you into the courtyard, from where you can reach the Great Hall.
A cottage style garden is also open to the public. The garden and Great Hall are accessible to wheelchairs.
Refereshments are available during the summer only. Craven Arms is 1 mile to the north and Ludlow 7 miles to the south. Although further, Ludlow has more to offer.
