Nymans Garden was created by Ludwig Messel and then his son over a period of 70 years from 1885. This is one of the great gardens of the Sussex Weald and retains much of the personality of the family that created it.
There are many rare and exotic plants, but these are combined with more commonplace specimens to create the gardens unique character. there is a pinetum, walled garden, Italian garden and fountain, sunken forecourt garden, wild garden and woodland walks.
Lady Rosse's library and drawing room can also be visited.
The garden is accessible for the disabled but the house may pose some problems.
