The National Tramway Museum is set around a very authentic reconstruction of a period cobbled street, through which the trams run and then out into beautiful Derbyshire countryside.
Several buildings house an extensive collection of brightly coloured trams, some from abroad. The museum also has a huge photographic library dedicated to the history of urban transport which is an important part of our social history. Check out their website for more details on this.
A visit wouldn't be complete without a ride on a tram - an experience not to be missed.
The National Tramway Museum is superb!
