Europe's largest shopping centre, the MetroCentre boasts over 300 shops in themed malls, covering 169,000 square metres of retail space. There are the big anchor stores of Marks and Spencer, House of Fraser and Debenhams, well known high street names such as Argos, Barratts, BHS, Boots, Burton, Carphone Warehouse, Currys, Evans, H&M, HMV, JD Sports, Peacocks, Phoens4U, Vodaphone, Wallis and over 250 more shops.

With so many shops you're going to need to refuel, and the MetroCentre offers you over 50 restaurants and cafes to choose from.

MetroCentre also has extensive leisure facilities with the Odeon Imax cinema (the only Imax in the region) and Namco Funscape which features 18 ten-pin bowling lanes, the fastest dodgem track in Europe, a children's soft play area, activity machines, electronic games, and a fully licensed bar screening Sky Sports.

You will find nearly 10,000 free parking spaces at the MetroCentre with charging points for those with electric cars on the 3rd floor of the Yellow multi-storey car park.

The MetroCentre is just off the A1 and has its own train station on the national railway network, just 7 minutes from Newcastle Central Station with trains running roughly every 15 minutes on most days.
