Forge Mill Needle Museum is situated in the beautiful Arrow Valley, housed in an 18th century mill. Next to the museum is a modern building incorporating an historic barn which displays some of the items excavated from the adjacent medieval abbey site.
Both buildings and there contents are very interesting. The mill has all the tools and work benches used for needle making, and conveys something of the appalling conditions workers had to endure. Diplays tell the story of 300 years of needle and fishing tackle manufacture in the Redditch area.
The ground floor of the barn is accessible for wheelchair users, but as I recall, steps to the mill make it inaccessible.
You can take a path from the car park that takes you through the centre of the Arrow Valley.
