The Design Museum offers an insight into the role design plays in our everyday lives from the origins of mass production to the present day. The museum is divided into 2 main galleries. The Collection gallery provides a series of thematic displays which have a historical emphasis. The showcases explore the different aspects of design, illustrating how these affect both the way products look and how they are used. The Review gallery examines international examples of contemporary design. This allows you to see some of the most innovative designs currently on the market and to examine concepts and prototypes offering a glimpse into the future.
