Castle Drogo was created by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the millionaire Julius Drewe between 1910 and 1930. The granite Castle stands in a 600 acre estate on a spur immediately overlooking the River Teign, enjoying superb views across Dartmoor.
Inside Castle Drogo, bare granite walls are softened with tapestries, and there is an interesting kitchen and elaborate bedrooms.
The garden is formal with herbaceous borders, roses and several walks. Garden accessible to the disabled and some parts of the house.
