The Bluewater shopping centre is the UK's second largest and occupies a quite unique location in a former chalk quarry complete with surrounding 50 metre high chalk cliffs, parkland, trees and a tranquil lake. The triangular shaped shopping mall at Bluewater has one of the cornerstones of British department store retailing at each of the tips of the triangle in House of Fraser, John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.

Bluewater shopping centre is located between the A226 London Road and the A296 Watling Street, and is easliy reached from Junction 2 of the M25, just follow the signs for Bluewater. There is free parking for 13,000 cars at Bluewater.

If you're travelling by train from London then from St Pancras it will take only 18 minutes to Ebbsfleet station and then 15 minutes to Bluewater on a Fastrack bus. Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge and Cannon Street have trains leaving about every 15 minutes displaying "Greenhithe for Bluewater" as their destination.
