Archaeolink Prehistory Park was opened by Time Team's Tony Robinson on 16th June, 1997. Located at Oyne in the heart of Aberdeenshire, Archaeolink is an exciting visitor attraction which provides an interpretation centre and information point for some of the finest collections of ancient remains in Europe. The indoor exhibition is housed in an earth mound and the external walls are made of glass. The outside attractions include a Stone Age Settlement, a working Iron Age farm, a Roman marching camp, the remains of a real Iron Age house and for younger visitors a sandpit dig. Archaeolink will bring a new understanding of the sophistication of our ancestors and the impression they made on the landscape.
Attractions near Archaeolink Prehistory Park include Aberdeen, Torphins Golf Club at Alford, Dalgatie Castle near Turriff, Banchory Golf Club at Banchory.
