Antony House has been the home of the Carew family since it came into their possesion in the late 15th Century. Faced in silver-grey Pentewan stone, the house is a simple but elegant building, approached between two cupolas and across a forecourt. The wings of Antony are in red brick with colonnades looking out onto the forecourt.
The House contains fine furnishings, family portraits, embroideries and china in rooms panelled in oak and pine. Antony stands in grounds landscaped by Repton and a woodland garden that has colourful displays of rhododendrons. Antony is home to the National Collection of Day Lilies. An 18th century dovecote and the Bath Pond House also stand in the grounds.
Most of the garden is accessible to the disabled, along with the shop, tea room and family history exhibition.
