    "Very disappointing."

Bed was comfortable although we had booked a twin room and were given a double room.

This is not a three star hotel. There was no hotel reception desk. Access to bedrooms was via a separate door from the street up a steep staircase. The bedroom was small. There was no milk or sugar with tea making facilities. No breakfast. We were given a room at the back to avoid noise but the view was of an internal void.

"Probably would have given very different ratings for a summer stay. Does the job for a short stay, but not a place for a special break."

Good central location. Despite other reviews we saw, it was quiet overnight.

We stayed in Winter and although the room was warm on arrival, it was freezing overnight. Double glazing desperately needed.

"I would stay at this hotel again and we had a lovely view from our room. As breakfast was not included at our accommodation we had a lovely breakfast next door at Plonkers bar which was great value for money. "

    Excellent location

The only problem was parking but we parked at the National Railway Museum overnight which was not too far away from the accommodation

Tea and coffee facilities... No milk, no suger, dirty spoon and cups! Single Glazed windows in need of replacing, allowed too much noise in from the fronts.

"Paid in advance for 2 nights but checked out after 1 night. Worst room/place I have stayed in 20 years."

    Location only

    1. Room cleanliness was poor 2. Bed linen was worn and appeared unwashed in particular cushions 3. Room decor was in bad state, craked walls, flaking paint, worn and dirty carpets 4. Toilet seat was broken 5. Shower head fxing was broken/loose so had to jam soap dish behind sower head in order to have a shower. 6. Limited, just 2 powdered coffee drinks available in room 7. Access to room also dirty and in need of decorating 8. When I made the booking I asked for B&B, this hotel did not serve breakfast 9. No parking available, closest car park approx. 2 - 300m away. 10. Old best with a very uncomfortable matteress and cushions
