"This was a good budget hotel. Checking in and out was a friendly stress-free affair and staff gave us good advice on what was going on in Birmingham during our stay. There's a lovely relaxed feel to the place. We liked the facilities which include a nice lounge and drinks and toast available all day. There is on-street parking which is free from 18.00 to 08.00 which saved us a bit of money. This is our new favourite hotel in Birmingham."

Nice, friendly staff. Good clean room. Cheap.

"Excellent place to stay and great value for money."

Staff were excellent. Without asking we were moved into a private room with extra beds as the room we had booked was cold. Room and bathroom were very clean.

Location is not the best. Wouldn't fancy walking that way alone at night.

"a very pleasant stay in a very good hotel which we would recommend"

large clean bathroom, comfortable bed, self catering, friendly staff, nice lounge with great TV, quiet area

wall pattern in bedroom could be better; a bath and darker blinds would be welcome, could do with more than just bread and jam for breakfast ie. yogurt and cereals

"Pretty good for a hostel, once we'd laid down some ground rules regarding looking away while each other took showers! That aside, would definitely stay again if looking for something cheap and cheerful in central Brum."

Modern, clean and comfortable. Good location.

Lack of privacy when using shower due to no frosting on the glass door from the bedroom. There was also nowhere to hang a towel when in the shower, meaning that you had to leave it in the bedroom.

"My daughter was going for interview and the staff were very helpful by allowing us to leave her large portfolio and our rucksacks there even though we had arrived before check in time. The place was very clean and the bed was comfortable. "

the staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. We were allowed to put our heavy and awkward luggage into safe storage while we were touring the city.

I felt that a small common room would have added to the overall comfort. the tv in the kitchen was not the most suitable place.

"All in all I would recommend it, just need to get the signage/directions sorted that's all "

Although only opened for a few weeks, the room was what I needed for the overnight stay. Staff very friendly

Signage needs to be looked at both outside the hotel, although scaffolding was still up re paining. Directions from Snow Hill Station a little misleading, need to emphasise that it is more a 4-5 min walk & that you need to cross Great Charles ? main road via the subway.

    "Excellent! No qualms! "

The staff was the friendliest bunch we have found probably in the whole of the U.K., the bed was fifty times more comfortable than any bed we have slept in since coming overseas, and it was the best value we have found anywhere. In addition, it was a great location!

The bathroom was freezing until we figured out how to turn on the towel rack. Maybe more our fault : Visitor than that, nothing.
