"Really good weekend. Definatley planning to come back."

Room was excellent. Much better than we expected. Food and serive in resturant was excellent.

No entertainment in bar on weekend. We went on the starurday night to be told no entertainment. this was disappointing.

thought shop wud of maybe sold wine,heatin cud of been put on us arrivin as was cold when walkiing in.appart from that it was great.

Very nice. Didn't expect other facilities such as swimming pool and hence didn't try these - but next time we'll be prepared.

excellent hospitality, lovely place, great views. the studios were amazing, had everything you could possibly need, from dvd player, cd player, right down to washing up liquid! very spacious. had a look at the lodges too, they were stunning! like proper bungalows finished to a very high spec.

pans not very clean, glass blocks next to toilet so you can almost see in!, fridge not switched on took a while to locate plug and switch on under next cupboard- not good in hot weather.

Studio Room spacious, modern and facilities included 2 hobs, a double bed, tv/video/dvd combi, plenty of kitchen utensils, easy check in service, excellent fitness centre, small but not overcrowded and supervised by an attendant at all times. Location great for lakes and surrounding area

no hot water during the evening for a bath, but shower warm so no big deal.

cabin was very clean and spacious - it even had a sauna!! Leisure facilities and bar were all a high standard. Have already booked to go back.

The lodges were spotless with everything you needed at hand, and the veiw from the accomodation was beautifull. As it was late febuary it was a bit to cold to entertain any of the watersports on offer therefore I would like to return when it gets a bit warmer.

"We haven't tried other facilities of the resort because of our short stay. But generally, we enjoyed our stay and are happy with the facilities inside the house. Worth recommending to others and I think worth trying again. "

the house is perfect for a group. I like the kitchen and the rooms, all fitted with basic stuff. good parking too.

heating in the living room is not enough to make the room warm enough during our stay especially at night. I was not successful to book online so I tried to phone the hotel for assistance. They directed me to the online booking again and when I did, the price was changed higher so I paid the higher price when I booked.

the hotel had not received the booking from active hotels which meant we had to wait a while to be booked in, luckily they had a room for us

Excellent layout and general facilities in studio. V. comfortable bed.

Microwave not easy to use. Shower screen was swinging open in use. Looks brand new. Needs adjustment? Couldn't fully close kitchen blind. Is pulley broken? Chairs not very comfortable. No instructions on how to find and operate warm air heating control. This was a little noisy in use. Couldn't work tv volume control.

lodge was lovely on appearence. scenery lovely, facilities good.

had to go to relatives for a shower as we complained our shower was not working. we also could not get the grill on the oven to heat up properly and didnt risk messing with it. we reported these findings and the maintenence man said he checked them, but they still was not working, so we had to travel 14 miles for showers and meals at relatives.

Watersport activities and boating expensive.

Cheap, clean, pleasant setting, well-resourced cabin. Hair dryer was great, as were thr tea/coffee facilities. A shame we didn't have time to use the leisure facilities.

Confusion over whethter I had pre-paid!

excellent budget accomodation,fantstically clean and well preserved accomodation, easy to find from the motorway, good facilities for parking - very secure, just wished we had stayed for longer - however due to such a pleasant trip we may be back soon!

The last minute booking for the room was outstanding value for money. The resort itself was lovely, and ideal for children.

There didn't seem to be enough waiting on staff in the restaurant at night. However, the service was extremely courteous. We could hear trains overnight, not sure whether this was due to the location of the lodge that we had.

"Late booking so was reasonable price for 6 people. Good base. Comfortable. Would reccommend staying if at the right price, although would have preferred more to do at night."

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful-we were very impressed! Site was well kept and nice views over lake. Lodge was comfortable and well equipped, good shower although drain was blocked. Easy to get to from motorway and good access to lakes and yorkshire. Food and drink at reasonable prices-carlsberg cheaper than my local, bottle of wine £10.75.

Some motorway noise. Evening entertainment poor for adults, may be better during peak season. Shower drain was blocked and bathroom door lock not working, we did not report it until we left though and am sure it would have been put right if we had. Water sports expensive.

Widely varing prices when trying to book on the phone £98 per night and Expedia similar compared to the web site we used £45.
