"We booked a one bedroom appartment at Thurnham Hall for a relaxing and romantic night away. This turned out to be a beautiful, spacious and well equipped bedroom, living area, kitchen and two large bathrooms in a lovely tranquil setting. Staff were very helpful and the leisure facilities are clean, quiet and ideally located. Although we did not try it during our stay, there is a retaurant located in the main hall that offers meals at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed our stay and found Thurnham hall to offer excellent value for money; we will definitely return in the future for more than one night. "

Fabulous value, beautiful location, professional and helpful staff.

"Expensive but would stay again if the above niggles could be sorted out. The location is good lovely canal walks."

Lovely setting. Quiet with great countryside views-we stayed in a Woodland View Studio. Spacious lounge/dining room & very well equiped kitchen. Small but useful gym & pool. Ideally situated for our stay as our children were on a residential PGL holiday at nearby Winmarleigh Hall.

Downstairs bathroom/toilet off lounge. Small bedroom on upper floor with a very uncomfortable double bed and very low ceiling in places. Mentioned this at the end of our stay and was informed that mattresses were being renewed.

"Enjoyable stay and we will be looking to book again, as the accomodation lends itself to staying with young children by offering a seperate bedroom but also a comfortable sofa bed as an alternative.Despite the limited food choice the meal we had was both enjoyable and not too expensive."

Beautiful location and impressive building, excellent customer service, very attentive and seemed to genuinely want to impress.Lovely touch of a bottle of wine in our room as i had mentioned my husband was celebrating his 40th birthday.

Choice of food in the restaurant limited to al a carte on a friday and saturday evening.Despite having an enjoyable meal on one evening we would have liked the option, especially with young children to have more flexability on the menu choice and to be offered a light snack menu or more relaxed dining as an alternative option to a formal meal.

"I could not believe the price and did expect a smaller/basic room. However I was treated as any guest who had paid the standard rate and even stayed on an extra night than moving onto my next location 40miles away. And was hoping to visit again with my husband on Valentines weekend as the menu looks amazing unfortunately I am not the only fan of this location as there are no rooms for 2 available We will have to bok early for next year!."

A warm welcome with excellant customer service, my room was above expectations making a usual buisness stay comfortable and a home from home experience. Nice to relax in the pool/sauna at the end of the day.

"fab did the trick - it was surprise for my wife and she loved it - what more can I say"

fab place and very friendly staff real attention to detail which I like. Really liked that all the information was available for the site, surrounding areas etc. I had booked online and thought that I had paid but there must have been a problem or I misunderstood. When asked to pay I explained that I thought I had paid. Ms Regan dealt with it fantastically so professionally - she should be employee of the month

not a bad point but just a thought. The pool didn't open until 9am. I would have liked it to open at 8 to have a swim beofre breakfast. Just a thought.

The appartment was immaculate. Well furnished and spotlessly clean. Thurnham Hall is certainly a place we will stay again when we travel to Lancaster to see our daughter who is at the University.

    "Very good."

Everything very clean. All in good working order. Excellent location.

Directions absolutely rubbish. All the distances were inaccurate by a considerable factor. Would have been nice to have some reference to road names and place names. Our accomodation had a commanding view of the rubbish dump!

"This place is a complete gem in a wonderful setting. Our apartments were beutifully decorated and furnished, offering gorgeous views, and with everything we could possibly need included. All staff were friendly but not intrusive, with nothing seeming to be too much trouble. The leisure centre was spotlessly clean, well equipped and well run. I only wish we could have staid longer."

Lovely friendly staff in all depts, nothing too much trouble. Excellent standard of accommodation, beautiful rooms, spotlessly clean. Everything you could possibly need in the apartments. Gorgeous grounds. Leisure centre well equipped, again spotless. On the whole extremely enjoyable relaxing, stay.

Only bad point was that we were unable to stay longer due to our schedule.
