"Good weekend; disappointed with overall standard of the hotel. Staff appeared disinterested and inexperienced."
Good location
Reservation not received by hotel in spite of confirmed internet booking.Poor quality decor and furnishings. TV had no sound. Strange smell in corridors! In serious need of some investment

"terrible"
one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. No hot water and mould all over the shower. We ended up asking for our money back after the first night but were only refunded for the second night because we'd had a free breakfast. The breakfast was not supposed to be free and considering we'd only had a bit of toast I'd rather have paid for the breakfast and been refunded for the entire 2 nights.

"The hotel was'nt busy but we had to wait a long time for our meal when it did arrive mine was wrong ,so my husband had to eat his so it did'nt get cold , therefore we did'nt eat together."
Hotel looked good on arrival
No public phone,my husband forgot to bring his and mine needed charging, we had to search the town for a phone box.

"The overnight cost was competitive for what was on offer, but the overall impression was shabby and understaffed, although all the staff were helpful and friendly."
The staff were friendly. The food in the restaurant was good value.
No record of reservation on hotel's computer. Not enough staff to give good service. Waited too long in restaurant to order and be served. Hotel looked in serious need of decorating and cleaning in some places.

"Comfortable bed made the stay okay. In general, you are left with the impression of a casually run hotel. General decor needs an overhaul. Very worn-looking and gives the impression of being dirty in some of the communal areas. You wouldn't look forward to getting back to the hotel at the end of the day. This hotel could be fantastic but it looks careworn."
Shower and basin were clean. Powerful and hot shower. Clean linen and towels. Comfortable bed. Large and pleasant garden with plenty of picnic tables.
Shower clean but some parts of bathroom were in need of cleaning. Shower very mouldy. No soap in dispenser in shower. Noisy in the room, possibly due to room being located over the kitchen. Radiators on full blast on a very warm day so the room was unbearably hot at night even after we had switched off the radiator in our room. Only one window opened. Checking in and out took some time as the appropriate member of staff couldn't easily be found.

"There were not many people staying at the hotel now I know why. It was in bad need of modernisation, there were some windows boarded up decor inside very old and dark, not what I would call welcolming. When we booked it stated there was not any facilities for food, but as I stated previously there was and the meal was quite good, but if you wanted breakfast that would have cost extra"
The food on the day we arrived was quite good.
We were left standing at the bar and was ignored for about 4 mins while the staff were talking amongst themselfs,we was not acknowledged. The windows in our room were either very hard to open or would not open. On the inside of the door in our room there was a fire notice with no instructions on where the fire exits were so if we had to get out in a hurry we would not know where to go. The shower was old and not very clean, and the power lead from the kettle had wires showing from the plug.We did not get a receipt for our booking as we were told that they were having trouble with the computer.

"This was an overnight stay for my wife and I as I was running in the New Forest Half Marathon. It was convenient, in a nice location near the shops and bars, and the room was clean and well prepared. We will consider staying there again, it was an enjoyable stay and good value too."
Bedroom and shower room were clean and served their purpose, the staff we only met twowere friendly and helpful
We were greeted with the news that they were short staffed mainly in the kitchen area, and this influenced our decision to eat eslewhere. Visitorwise I can't think of any bad points.

"Nicht zu empfehlen. "
Sehr unsauber, herunter gekommenen Zimmer, Frühstück mäßig. Schlechteste Unterkunft während unseres gesamten Englandurlaubs.
