"Average, was a means to an end. Situation somewhat retrieved by the fact that we did not have to pay for breakfast as compensation for the lack of hot water in two of the three rooms booked."
Room clean and well equipped, convenient situation.
No hot water in the morning, breakfast a bit of a shambles with missing condiments, crockery, hot water etc.

"It did the job for me of having a place to stay while I was away on business. It was clen and tidy although the rooms need updating. I thought that it was a bit expensive for what you get, as there are other places to stay in Normanton for less money and breakfast was not included in the price. This is however, the only one that I found that allows you to book on line last minute, which was perfect for my circumstances. "
Nothing of merit to say. Adequte best describes the Village Motel. The staff were very freindly though.
Shower was difficult to use and there were a lot of drunk people coming back to their rooms when the pubs closed.

"Cheap overnight stay, also pub food value for money. "
Noisy guests, Motel should be advertised for Stag and Hen Nights, and only over night cheap stops. My daughter is a Freelance IT Trainer and would have used the motel again if it was in better condition.

"Well, it kept the costs to a minimum, but that's about all I could say for it, really."
The place was very cheap, which was why I booked it, when I suddenly needed to travel somewhere for something and was already resenting how much the whole thing was costing me. It was an easy to find location, just off the M62.
Decor was old and shabby. Could feel the springs in the mattress - haven't experienced that for years!! Tea and coffee facilities in the room included a kettle, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and two saucers. No cups. Amusing, really, I suppose, rather than irritating. I was only there overnight and didn't bother raising it. Was challenged, on entering the restuarant for breakfast, as though I might be some sort of interloper who had no business being there. All a bit surreal. There was some sort of domestic going on a few rooms up in the middle of the night, though that's obviously not the motel's fault.

"Enjoyable"
Very pleasant bar and restaurant with places both to socialize or to find quiet. The food and service were very good.
Would have eaten both nights but didn't know they stopped serving food at 8pm. We sat in the bar until hungry and then found out we were too late when we tried to order about 8.20pm, so had to go out to eat.
