    "Good value for money"

Convenient to station and city centre. En suite appears quite recent and in excellent condition.

    "Good"

Within easy walking distance of York centre and visitor attractions. Quiet location with parking. Pleasant friendly staff. Clean room.

None really - tv could do with remote control.

"Overall a really good weekend stay. Good food, nice room, friendly staff, good location - walking distance to the centre of york. I would recommend this hotel/B&B."

Friendly staff, clean modernized/renovated room. Good breakfast.

Room was a bit small, but not an issue when only staying for the weekend.

Loved the room, staff were very friendly and helpfull, breakfast was great and all excellent value for money.

Wi-fi signal very weak from my room, it kept dropping out.

Welcoming and friendly hosts, clean, modern facilities, freshly cooked breakfast.

Room small and a little cold, but very cold weather.

"A great time was had by all"

My daughters and I found the boarding house very comfortable and the lady in charge was very couteous. She had a new man helping her and he was lovely and cooked a great breakfast we were his guinea pigs !! All in all would definitely recommend

Superb B&B - would heartily recommend it.

Some details that we entered onto the website did get passed on to the hotel owner who was therefore unaware of some important points - eg that we were to arrive at about 7.30 pm and that we had children. To avoid this in future I would probably call the hotel directly myself.

"Enjoyed visit to York, my other half was more upset with the state of the room."

Full English breakfast good start for the day, landlady helpful with town events. Parking available, very useful in York.

Door off into shower room, wall paper badly hung, no bedside lamps, on bringing this to the notice of landlady apology given and lamps provided. She accepted room was sub standard.

Lovely friendly people, who can't do enough for you

In the middle of renovating, so most of the hotel was a bit lack lustre, but they're working on this.

    "Very enjoyable. Relaxed friendly atmosphere."

Close to York City Centre. Parking available. Breakfast, excellent. Friendly service.

En-suite facilities very small and cramped difficult to brush your teeth without hitting your head on the glass shelf over wash basin. Having said that however, the shower was good and worked well, as did the loo. Therefore we would judge the facilities to be adequate.

"It's a cute bed and breakfast which is very close to the city centre, but far away enough so as not to get the city noise. The value for money is fantastic. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back."

Very friendly staff who really care. The hotel feels more like a home than a hotel.

One bathroom per floor, however it seemed to satisfy everyone without any hold ups.
