"A lovely hotel in a great location think that we were just unlucky as in a reasonably large group. Staff need more training."
Great location, awesome views of the ground!
Problems with check in when couldn't find our booking had booked through priceline and then were told there were no family rooms, we had booked 1 family room and 3 doubles Girl on recption said we could have 5 doubles and it was £10 cheaper but she couldn't do the maths she meant it was £10 cheaper for the one room but overall obviously wouldn't be cheaper. Eventually resolved situation but was awkward for us sharing rooms. Also when we checked out the la on reception wouldn't accept a combination of cash and cards.

The room was very clean and comfortable
When booking and when booking in we were led to believe that a cooked breakfast was available as an extra but when we went for breakfast we were informed that as it was Good Friday the cooked breakfast was not available and as we had not pre booked the cold one we had to do without.

"Enjoyed it. A novelty to see the cricket square outside our room!"
Enthusiatic commited staff.
Shower facility in our room: pointed out to reception on departure on feedback ticket. The framework of the shower was in a precarious state so it was on the point of collapsing. Some new specialist fixings are needed.

"spoiled by lack of facilities outside the room, and parking arrangements"
cafe for breakfast was NOT conveniently next door and was in fact a canteen parking was re-arranged despite my checking that there was no match on whilst we stayed... rain had apparently cancelled an early engagement for Sky TV and so we were expected to move aside for their earlier than scheduled arrival

Clean modern hotel

The hotel room wasn't clean. I had to keep my children away from everything in the room as they weren't clean. Our bed smelled really bad and I couldn't sleep on it because of the smell. First night the bed was broken we told the reception that the bed is broken in the morning and they promised to fix it but when we got back not only the bed wasn't fixed but also no one tidied up our room. So we complained and they changed our room but the bed in the second room smelled really bad and we didn't bother to complain again as we thought no one would care! It seemed in terms of cleaners hotel was under staffed and even though the hotel had a big room and nice facilities and a nice view but it wasn't possible to enjoy our stay!

"ALthough a potentially an unusual and really lovely place to stay I think it is going to deteriorate very quickly as I think there is a lack of attention to detail and a also it suffers from not enough though being put into the customer experience before it was built. I felt like it was a hotel tacked onto a cricket ground and of less importance so had to compromise because of this. For example - I was not allowed to park in the spaces nearest the hotel as they were allocated to cricket staff. On check in there was only a night porteron duty so no help with bags etc.. There were no retaurant or bar facilities and no room service although there was a drink and snack vending machine in the lobby - however it was clearly set up to cater for men as it was full of beer and larger cans with ONE tiny bottle of white wine a fruit based drink for the ladies! The room had a stunning view and balcony door - however this was locked for security reasons, it seemed to me that they could have thought about this before building it as it was frustrating to me that I could not get out there and the staff told me that people had undone the screws etc.. in order to open the door. Neither of the light bulbs worked in the bedside light. The towels were small and thin. The TV was tiny and set high on the wall, there was no iron or hairdryer in the room. There were only 2 sachets of coffee. The kettle still had old water in it. The guy who checked in before me had a problem as they could not find his booking and he had not been told there was no facilities for supper. He was not happy and was tols to walk up to Headinly main street to eat. This is a student area and he didn't seem very please. The night porter could have least have offered to send for a pizza delivery for him!"
The room was modern and had a good bed and excellent power shower. Realy nice and unusual view of YCC. Good to have a fridge and fresh milk in the room.

"Headingley Lodge was the perfect accommodation for our night in Leeds. Booking and checking-in was easy and efficiently handled by the friendly staff, and we felt entirely secure and comfortable during our stay. Our room was clean and spacious, with modern facilities and a superb view over the cricket ground."
We loved the great view from the large windows - directly overlooking the cricket ground. The room was spacious and clean and the although we barely saw the staff, the receptionists and security were friendly and very helpful.
There is nothing we disliked about the hotel.

"I don't usually answer these survey's but a simple fact that so many hotels don't understand the importance of a friendly welcome. I was greeted by a very funny lovely receptionist called tamsin. Top notch lady who seemed to know what customer sevice was. The following morning i was greeted by 2 other ladies who were fantastic also. I see no other reason not to use your hotel everytime i'm up in Leeds. Thanks for a easy stay. See you soon. Joe McShane"

"Overall we enjoyed staying at this hotel, so much so that we have already tried to book another room for the summer but unfortunately we can't get one! With the secure 24hour car parking it was great peace of mind too. Before we stayed here we had read that other people had said they could hear their neighbours in the rooms, we did hear our neighbour coughing but again on the whole it was very quiet and peaceful, definately worth another visit, sometime soon hopefully."
Marvelous big bedroom and large en-suite as well as modern colours. Wonderful comfortable bed!!!!
The cleanliness was not very good. The two chairs at the table in the room were very stained, there were two 'spot' marks on the sheets and the bedside table needed a good polish, it looked like it had just been wiped with a damp un clean cloth! The bedside tables were dusty.

We thought the room was brilliant....so much so we have no come back only a week later on the trip back down south as we liked the location, the outlook and the staff as always were super friendly.

"A good experience and one we would be happy to repeat!"
Online booking was very straightforward and not complicated. Spacious room, great view, easy parking, comfortable bed, satisfactory breakfast
Couldn't get the heating low enough for our comfort. Doors tended to bang shut rather noisily.
