    "Comfortable"

welcoming, friendly. cosy atmosphere, cosy room

I was not able to have breakfast as I arrived late, and the breakfast orders had already been made. When phoning to say I'd arrive late, I forgot to mention breakfast. Not a big problem, but I would have preferred to have breakfast in the hotel before going out. There was apparently nobody there in the morning to speak to.

"Nice and good value for money."

    Good atmosphere, clean and cosy.

Shower tray drain hole was obstructed - standing in ankle deep water while having a shower. Parking is a problem and difficult to find if you do not know where it is.

"Had a lot of trouble finding the place but probably due to Nottingham sign posting. Enjoyed my stay"

Central. Small and cosy. Huge quantity of tea and coffee. Clean. Comfortable bed and quiet room although near the city centre

Decorating badly needs refreshing specially round the shower. Could not find the switch for the light above the sink.

"This hotel was perfect for what myself and my friend wanted."

Perfect location Friendly and helpful staff cosy

The room was too warm, but nothing an open window and turning the radiator off couldn't solve!

"The hotel was very centrical right next to the castle. As we just stayed one night in order to catch a flight the following morning from the airport East Midland it was perfect: the final bus stop of the airport line at Friar Lane was just some walking minutes away. And: the oldest pub of Nottingham or of all pubs is very near, just down the hill. Bathroom was okay, but the warm water in the wash basin didn't work. "

"Booked for two nights, left after one."

    Convenient location

Room not en suite. Hot and very cramped. Only enough room for one bed but two had been crammed in. In this day and age I expect it to be specified at the booking stage if a room is NOT en suite.

"I had a great time and would stay at thjis hotel again if/when I visit Nottingham."

Very central location near Nottingham Castle and center of the town. I had no car so glad it was a short walk from everything. Comfortable bed; facilities high quality.

slightly noisy from traffic - but not very much so.

"Practical, cheap, adequate for overnight stay."

Efficient staff, check-in/out straightforward, cheap room.

Poor overall standard for '3 star' accommodation, no toilet in room, TV remote control faulty.

"It could have been nice - quaint a little grubby but see above."

Not a bad hotel in a good area totally ruined by the locked out drunks who repeatedly kicked the door over at least an hour in the middle of the night and no one did anything about it, not the staff, not the police. And then the person Guest? with a key turned up so then they ran about the hotel shrieking. Can't recommend the place.

"Suited my purpose with regards to price & location. Would consider staying again if it were re-decorated."

Convenient, city centre hotel. Good value for money. Described as a Tappas bar. Evening meals available Friday & Saturday only, interesting menu. Next to Nottingham castle. Short walk from the oldest pub in Britain 1189 - "Olde Trip to Jerusalem" which is well worth a visit.

Booking had not got through to the reception. A phone call had to be made to confirm reservation. Establishment is looking a bit tired and needs to be re-decorated following the introduction of the smoking ban.

    "Good value"

Owner very friendly and helpful, very short walk into city centre so location was very convenient

TV very small, BBC1 did not work, window would not stay open for ventilation

"Having never been to Nottingham before I was not impressed with the directions once you leave the motorway. After driving around for about half an hour we had to admit we were lost, went to ask for dirctions at Sainsbury's and everyone asked, 'are you driving?' when answered affirmatively everyone pulled a face and went to ask someone else so I can only assume everyone who lives in Nottingham doesnt drive as the roads are so difficult to navigate. Better instructions to Nottingham hotels would be very helpful."

Friendly and welcoming, parking wasnt as bad as first thought as there was an ncp car park nearby. Fantastic for all attractions and for shopping. A really lovelly stay.

The picture on the tv was really bad especially on itv, but that was my only gripe.

small and friendly. lovely cooked breakfast in morning.

Bar was closed when we got back to room which was a shock. never shown how the shower worked and so we thought it was broken. no remote for TV

"Nice, cosy warm and friendly hotel, room was clean and appropriate for one nights stay. There was NO PARKING at the hotel however it states in the overview of the hotel that there is, you can park on roadside for only 2 hours and local car parks were over £15 for a nights stay. Hotel again was lovley, staff were very helpful and friendly however unfortunatley we didnt get a very good nights sleep, all doors are fire doors and slam shut very loudly and seemed to be going all night as was what I presume a heating boiler or something which woke us up unfortunatley every half hour. Worth the money as it was only cheap to stay here however think next time id rather pay a little more for parking and a quieter nights sleep."
