"Good. We would recommend and stay again"

We actually changed our booking to the one at the airport due to a mix upon the online system. Staff were very helpful

Did not have time to find any other than the validation of the parking ticket which was not as simple as it sounded.

Very clean, modern, & excellent location for Birmingham city centre, Bullring, & Station. Double galzing windows excelent for shutting out noise from bars outside bedroom window!!

Our room was on first floor overlooking a square full of bars/restaurants which by 10pm were full of very noisy& drunk young people. The Sobar Bar was underneath and at 12pm switched on very loud pumping music til about maybe 2-3pm!Double glazing shut outside noise out but not the bar music underneath. But hey, it is the city centre & if you're on a hen/stag night its a great hotel.

location very central for purpose of journey near new st station / Cricket Ground. Clean room and staff accomodating.

only small criticism perhaps a small fridge in room would have been handy.

    "Terrible."

    Decent staff.

    * tiles falling off the wall * tiles all over floor that weren't stuck down properly. Housekeeping simply just put the tiles back down on the floor, didn't even stick them down. very dangerous. * Terrible room service, took an hour for a pizza to arrive and it was meant to be stone baked...it was stone cold!!! * The whole hotel smelt of weed. It was like the staff had been smoking it all day all night.

    "Nice and adequate :-"

Nice and airy hotel, easy access from Birmingham City Centre.

Parking was a bit of a nightmare and the bed was absoloutly shocking, never mind 'i wanna lay you down on a bed roses' for we definitly laid on a bed of hay!

"We feel that the hotel didn't match our expectations from the look / details on the website. We would not stay there again. We've stayed in more economical hotels that have been much nicer."

The reception was nice and bright and very clean.

The room was extremely warm when we arrived. We turned the radiator off and opened the window but it wouldn't cool down. We couldn't sleep on the night because of this and had to open the window all night, this made the room very noisy and we didn't sleep until 3am. Also, when we checked in we were given no information on checking out times or breakfast etc.

"I strongly recommend this hotel with you intend to stay in Birmingham in business or leisure"

The location of the hotel is excelent. The reception, the quality of the rooms and the cleanness are some of the good points.

The famliar room is quit nice. The problemeis that the hotel is part of the Arcadian, an area with restaurants and night clubs. In one of the days we could hear some noice, although they have windows with double glass to avoid it.

We were going to NIA to see a concert. The hotel was ideally situated and we had a lovely but cold! walk along the canal. The staff were very helpful, the hotel and room were very nice and clean. No complaints at all. Would definitely book again.

"Hotel is in a good location, but if I new a little more about the hotel I would have made a more suitable booking for my needs."

Staff was frendliy when I check-in. room was clean. I would recomend this hotel.

I booked a double room thinking the room was going to be fair, but it was small. when booking there was no option of bathroom or shower in the room.

"Overall I can say your service is ok if compare with your price at the Birmingham other hotels but still you can improve human resources in the hotel "

Welcome desk employees are quiet efficient to handle the operations

Most of the time restaurant is managed by only one waiter therefore lacks of food serve items and cleaning problems noted this area. Room has internet connection problems reported several days but unable find solutions when we left from the hotel

"Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable and in very good location, this had a downside though as a lot of noise could be heard because of local night clubs. The room was at the back of the hotel and backed on to venues that stayed open late and were very noisy."

Clean room, comfy bed, ensuite facilities were good.

Paying for the t.v, expensive for a room without any extras i.e toiletries or free use of t.v. Room was very noisy at night because of local night clubs. i have stayed in the hotel before and not had to pay for the t.v, so I dont know when this changed but I feel it is unfair to have to pay for basic t.v use.

"Bad points: We had to hunt down reception staff ourselves which was rather disappointing, and also staff kept entering in the room in the morning even though we'd told the first person we didn't wish to be disturbed. Good points: Good value, nice and clean, and everything worked as it should."

Plain, simple and functional- just what we needed

A bath would have been good, and opening the window took up half the room!

    Convenient location

Very small rooms and not very well sound-proofed.

    Closeness to railway station

The hotel is basically worn out, overdue for refurbishment.

"I would have liked to be have been informed that it was noisy outside - luckily I brought earplugs, but otherwise I would not have been able to sleep."

Clean, compact, close to theatre and train station.

It was very noisy outside - thicker windows needed!

"I was initially given a room with limited or no internet access. The second night, I switched to a room where the internet access was adequate. However, the ringer on the phone was broken. An attempt to fix the ringer failed. An attempt to replace the phone broke the phone jack in the wall -- phone was replaced the next day."

    location and price

first room - internet didn't work; 2nd room - phone didn't ring; last morning - no phone service at all

"Good value for money in a lively part of town. Can be a bit noisy outside, but didn't really filter into room excessively"

Price, location close to New Street Station, Reception Area well presented

Near a noisy area of bars, but a reasonable job has been done of sound insultation. Shower room was tiny!

"would have liked to known what the actual accomodation included - ie the BED"

ease for location and train station New Street

The Bed !! I reserved in advance a Double Bed - what we got was two singles pushed together -- which is not a double bed >??

    central position, nearby parking

standard of the room was very poor, he carpets were quite stained, the wall by the bed was crqacked and crumbling. The shower area had lots of mold along the base of the tiles and the drain in the shower was loose, revealing a filth and mold. The toilet was also in need of a thorough clean.

The reception staff were delightful - very friendly and helpful. I was looked after by a young French lady who was very charming. The lobby area was pleasant and inviting.

The room was a bit shabby - especially the bathroom. The location was exceptionally noisy for a Monday evening not your fault, but upi may want to think about better sound insulation on the front of the hotel.

"Enjoyed our stay. Room was very basic but had high standard of cleanliness which is extremely important to us. Shower room too was very basic but clean and the shower was excellent : Can't complain at all and had a good nights sleep certainly not disturbed by any local noise despite the area outside being extremely busy as it was a Thursday night. Would stay here again for the price."

Close proximity to Hippodrome and Bullring and easy access from A38

No breakfast included in price !!!
