Clean, excellent value, wonderful gardens

The main door to the room was a poor fit within it's frame. Also the bathroom door was an extremely bad fit within its frame and we were unable to close it properly without really slamming it hard, and then have to use some effort to open it again from inside the bathroom.

"Would stay again because of the location and grounds - but research local restaurants first!!"
Pleasant rooms, lovely grounds, conveniently located
No restaurant for guests on a Sunday. Closure of reception at 1800 hrs. Noise from motorway. Vague directions from your staff for local restaurants led us miles!

"not worth £95 for 1 nights stay."

Heating was eventually fixed after 3 hours. breakfast and pot of tea was only luke warm. Dining room not big enough 4 all the guests. Not enough bar staff.

"I was disappointed and disgusted with the customer service and would not stay in this hotel again."
We booked a family room which was in poor quality, we had no hot water and then was moved to a double room at our request and was only refunded

"Resonably price hotel near M5 and Airport yet in the country. Good location."
Gardens were beautifully maintained, obviously for wedding functions. Friendly staffs.
Single room small. Food was only ok.

The room was great

"This hotel looks NOTHING like it does on its website; a loose cluster of outbuildings, tastelessly renovated, with the coldest 'restaurant' a 'lean to' conservatory I have ever had the misfortune to experience. This was matched by the 'coffee' at breakfast, which was weaker than weak and lukewarm. Then, as I shivered in the 'lean to' and noticed that there was no butter on the table, I was brought ice cold butter portions, just to add insult to injury. The room was cramped, noisy and smelly, and the hotel was 'convenient for the M5', that is it could be heard and seen but the nearest junction was 10 mins drive away! Truly, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, by a long shot. Stick to the Travel Inns, this place makes them look and feel like The Ritz!"
Above kitchen/restaurant; noisy, smelly, cramped, very cold.

"On the whole this was a lovely hotel, perfect setting and beautifully designed and tended gardens. The room on entering looked perfect but it became obvious there was a damp problem. There was no hotel info in the room and it never arrived even though requested. My daughter requested an extra blanket as she is always cold. This was provided immediately although subsequently it wasn't necessary as the room was very warm. The reception and restaurant staff were excellent, very helpful. Breakfast was good served at the table and a wide choice. All things considerd a very pleasant stay.I would certainly come back. The hotel obviously aims for the wedding market and I couldn't imagine a lovelier setting for this."
Spacious, attractive and very clean.
Damp smell

"I knew nothing about the hotel befoe booking and was impressed with the room and delighted with the gardens. The walk to the dining room might be uncomfortable in inclement weather. There was a problem at one breakfast Sunday when a large party appeared to come in all together an the staff were clearly overwhelmed."
The room 21 was above expectation. It was recently refurbished and my comments and suggestions were handed to your reception.
