"used the hotel as a base as we wre travelling to the millennium stadium, about an hour away. would recommend as it was a lot cheaper than the £500+ for a hotel in cardiff."

check in was good we arrived early, but it was no problem, room was clean and well appointed, food was good but expensive, swimming pool and sauna very relaxing, free internet access, only 2 minutes walk to the seafront.

got home to find we had been charged twice! got the money refunded though, so happy ending. drinks at the bar a bit expensive.

"Very poor value for money. All in all not a good weekend stay."

Good selection on the breakfast menu.

The room was generallhy tired and dated. There were damp patches on the ceiling and wall and the shower was difficult to use and leaked. There was a wedding function the first evening of our stay and as we were in the ground floor annexe the noise was right outside our door, prohibiting a good nights sleep. Although the breakfast menu was good the service was poor - coffee pots leaked and the poached eggs I had came hard and cold on slightly burnt toast. the table linen was not particularly clean. My complaint to the receptionist about the noise was not handled very well, I was told that all functions were listed on their website and that they couldn't have offered us an alternative room as they were fully booked.

    "Very relaxing"

Warm welcome when we arrived. Bed Comfortable. The Little extras in the bathroom. The Tea and Coffee facilities in the room.

Had to wait a while for our tea at breakfast due to boiler breaking down - that's it for bad points.

"Excellent hotel, rooms exceptional, large screen TV in exec rooms, very good breakfast, indoor swimming and sauna facilities excellent. reasonable bar would have preferred if it had stayed open after 11.00. car parking OK, very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant dinner service available in the evening but we didn't use on this occasion."

I booked three rooms, two executive doubles and a single. the hotel upgraded the single to a statndard double on arrival. All rooms were very good , the exec rooms exceptional. Breakfast was very good, all fresh;y cooked to order. Swimming pool facilities also very good

Controlling heat in rooms was difficult despite radiator thermostats. Also one exec room had insufficient towels, but these were minor issues. Car park a bit difficult to park in and get out of in the evening, but at least there was a free car park at the hotel. This was also a minor issue.

It was clean and comfortable and in a quiet part of town. Staff were very friednly and accommodating.

It had been advertised on your website as relatively near Cardiff and wasn't.

"the hotel has a nice family atmosphere, the breakfast room could have done with a bit of background music as it was like eating in a library the breakfast was very nice and plenty of it as it was my first visit to weston i now realise it is a retirement resort. unfortunatly i could not stay for the sand racing that looked as though it was going to be a good weekend"

    nice atmosphere

i think weston is a retirement resort!!
