Friendly, clean room and ensuite bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet location, delicious food and drink. Good breakfast.
It is a long walk from the main car park through the pub and restaurant and out the back door to the accommodation.

"it was okay - it was serviceable, generally clean, staff really helpful and cheap. we got what we paid for and if it hadn't been for the shower, it would have been better."

room wasn't as clean as it could have been cobwebs, bits on floor; shower didn't work - the water was boiling hot so the option was to either have a bath no thanks or have a shower in someone else's bathroom which we did; not the sort of scenario you want to be confronted with on the morning of your friends' wedding! staff was helpful, though. the room was quite dark and smellt a bit musty and it was hard to get rid of the steam from the boiling shower as windows wouldn't open very far.

Cheap - convenient
Bird poo piled up outside our room! Bad management - extremely poor restaurant service. We were kept kept waiting mid meal for over an hour - ignored in favour of a larger party - then they began to set up breakfast without clearing our plates and serving pudding to us. Agreed a 10% discount on the bill - but the Mgt only gave that on the food, not the drink. Cost them about £6 on the bill, and £75 in lost sales - pudding, coffee drinks and breakfast! Shame. If you think this kind of service is okay then this place is for you! They asked if it would put us off going back there - duh?

Slyne Lodge is great for a casual or formal meal, with easy access to Morecambe Bay or a nice dog walk down the A6. Staff are friendly and the rooms are always good value for money - in particular the bathrooms.

Most of the staff were friendly and approachable. The toiletries in all toilets were very luxurious. Both bar and restaurant menus had a good range of dishes. The tourist booklet of leaflets was very useful.
The bed was not very comfortable as the mattress was too soft and squeaked with every slight movement.

Bathroom facilities Comfortable beds
Filthy carpet, badly stained and hadn't been hoovered. Covered in bits. Looked like someone had thrown up on it and there were many other stains.So bad we were on the point of walking out. Also, only one small chair, plus one other. 4 stars seems generous

The lodge and room were wonderful. The room was clean and had a lovely atmosphere. Molton Brown in the room was a lovely touch!

"Good choice of hotel - very reasonable rates, have no problems with prior information which was accurate. Breakfast we had continental was good and although we did not have evening meal there appears to be a good choice at reasonable prices. Staff cery pleasant and helpfull."

bathroom although very clean etc. cold bath tap difficult to use due to shower shower screen, toilet to close to wall. approach to room 1 very close to kitchen extractors.
