Well situated for the sights of Edinburgh. Staff very friendly & helpful

Furniture in room was basic, wardrobe did not close particularly well. Bathroom had a bit of mould on ceiling. Breakfasts very poor and lacking in variety

Very clean. Central to city centre. No real issues.

Room was not in the least like the pictures on the internet. Quiet poor in comparison. No double glazing as there is a disco bar out the back of the room.Needs new pillows.Breakfast was very poor not really a continential. breakfast.

"The hotel is very close to the centre of the city, with a choice of cafe's restaurants close by. It was adequate for one night but the noise in the bathroom would have spoiled a longer stay."

The staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. The hotel was clean and warm. The breakfast table was very well laid and there was an excellent selection of foods.

Some of the staff who were asked to stand in for the manager seemed to lack the knowledge to deal with bookings confidently. The door did not fit properly so that passing noise wasn't muted. The window had a broken sash so it was difficult to open and close. There was a very noisy enclosed communal waste pipe running through the bathroom. There was no hot water in the morning. We only got an apology and no offer of a discount.

close to playhouse where we were going to

not easy to find if you don't know edinburgh. quite pricey for size of establishment, maybe it was the time of year though !

Friendly staff and located within walking distance of the City Centre.

On 3rd floor, no lift. Expensive compared with other hotels especially as no en-suite. Lock on the WC door did not work very well.

Able to negotiate on food arrangement and internet line.

"there were no pictures of a single room available - not that it would have changed my opinion. Beware travellers with heavy or big bags, there is a big, semi-spiral staircase - the hotel is tall and thin - so make sure you are on the first floor as even one flight of stairs was tricky to negotiate with my bags there's no elevator. But this was the best value place I could find in edinburgh so no complaints!"

the room was very small - but it was a single so what can I expect?! The breakfast wasn't great!

the whereabouts are very central 5min from Waverley Station, nice atmosphere

no continental breakfast, and Non-Ensuit means NO toilet in your room.

I liked the fact that it is situated in the city centre and most important that it was clean.

The lack of space for our clothessmall wardrobeand the very small sink in the bathroom.

Mooi pand, karakteristiek interieur, goede ligging midden in de stad,

Kamer was niet schoon, er lag overal rommel van vorige gasten:onder de kast en achter het bed. s'Ochtends een koude douche. Uit een van de matrassen stak een veer, die het been van een van ons heeft verwond. Onder het laken op bed lag geen molton. Lijkt me niet hygienisch. We vroegen de jongen van de receptie of hij iets wist over restaurants in de omgeving van het hotel, en hij wist hier niets over te vertellen.

"el aguan caliente de la ducha esta muy alta la temperatura. haiamos reservado 2 habitaciones y dobles y nos dieron una triple y una doble. pero en general estuvimos agusto es un hotel pequeno y eso a nostotros nos gusta."

me parece muy corto el horario para el desayuno

si tener mas cuidado en cuanto a rebizar los elementos de la habitacion pues la de nosotros algunos estan averiados
