"Adequate for an overnight stay though coldest hotel I've stayed in!"

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Ample parking. Didn't mind late check-in. Nice, quiet hotel.

Very, very cold - heating did not work properly.

    "Excellant"

Friendly managers - well stocked bar - excellant breakfast - comfortable, clean en- suite accommodation.

Unable to operate the TV. Not too important for a one night stay.

    "NEVER AGAIN....."

Room was cold, smelt damp and fusty, shower was cold, wallpaper peeling from walls, draught from window, shower room was tiny and dirty, £60 was WAY too much for this room!

    "Good"

Room was very nice and well furnished. The breakfast was excellent

No heating in the large bathroom at all

"Not a good impression for anyone visiting Loughborough for the first time."

Breakfast was ok, staff were reasonable

Not happy at having to make my own toast or tea or coffee at breakfast, something which you don't expect at a B&B. The room was inadequate with no bedside lamp and a shower that was either too hot or cold. Wallpaper was peeling everywhere and at £49.50 per night not at all value for money.

"Overall good. though the full english breakfast could have been itemised and then individually catered for each."

A nice welcome, clean, good facilities, friendly staff.

Our breakfast table was very sticky and had obviously not been wiped. One then questions hygiene. There was no salt on our table only pepper.

"A decent hotel, with a fair standard of accommodation for the price. Some concerns about dusting and cleaning in the rooms, and some decor needs attention, but all aspects of the room were safe, functional and hygenic. An excellent base for anyone attending events at the nearby heritage railway."

Great location for Heritage Railway, pleasant staff, low cost accommodation.

Hotel is a little tired in interior appearance is and 'out of the way' from the Town Centre area. Not clear in advance that the hotel reception is closed during the day and it is necessary to telephone to gain admission.

Biscuits in the bedroom, most hotels no longer include these as complimentary. Clean Bed Comfortable Good value for money

General level of decor disappointing, will detract from good points and will put many customers off returning.

"Handy as a point to meet and travel with colleagues, can't fault the owner or his staff as they were very helpful but hotel is tired"

Very friendly staff, some revamped rooms, within walking distance of main high st, easy to find from motorway

Scruffy and unclean hotel toilets downstairs, uninviting reception, breakfast and bar areas

"disapointing and would not recommend to any body."

    Staff pleasant, Breakfast very good

Room very dirty and dusty including 1/2 inch dust on the top of the television, bathroom light not working, and power shower only pumping out cold water, tea and coffee in the room but the tea bags were stale, kettle, cups, skirting boards very dusty, carpet in bathroom floor dirty, board missing under the bathroom washbasin pedistall. The room was nothing like what one had seen on the website.it felt as if one was being put up by the social securtiy in temporary accommodation.

"very good for the railway which is what we had gone to see also very good that you could park your car there off the road. we heard the gentleman say that they are going to do a lot of work on it if so this could be a very good place to stay especially those for the railway "

we were greeted well by a lovely young lady we have stayed at lots of places and this was the most we had paid

we had to ask for a heater for our room because it was cold in there. Also we had to ask for a bedside light. We had no room to get pass our bed near the window. Our breakfast was not very good the tin toms were cold as were the baked beans with tons juice everywhere so everything was cold.

"Very good, cracking breakfast, nice clean tidy and modern quiet room"

The room was very quiet and clean tidy and the bathroom was nice and modern. Staff were friendly and breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is an old building. The communal areas and some of the other rooms like the restaurant and bedrooms look completely out of sync with each other modern/old and tired as if the hotel it going through a refurbishment. If this is the case, once the bar, hallways and staircases are also refurbished it will be a very smart hotel indeed. However overall our experience was very good.

    "Helpful staff on duty"

Shower was really good - powerful and hot Double and good size single bed was lovely

Three out of 4 lights not working, hairdrier not working, 'droning' of some kind of motor all night, curtains not dark enough. Breakfast stops far too early - 8.30am is very early if you are on a break away.

    "Good value for money"

Convenient location, free car park, comfortable bed and good breakfast

I waited a while at reception to check in and check out, there was no bell or buzzer or any way to call a member of staff
