Staff were friendly and polite on arrival and departure. Hotel was extremely clean with good decor.
I was quite concerned to speak to two customers who were staying the same night with breaksfat included were paying £15 less then we were. This was quite a concern.

not enough plain things on menue, i.e. traditional things which older people like because they do not recocnise all these new fandangled gastro names.

"Hotel was very clean with modern decor. Room was of a good size with room to work etc & shower was the best i have experienced whilst staying at similar priced hotels. Highly recommended as a business traveller & would definately stay again."

The room - quiet good sound insulation, dark black-out curtains, very comfortable beds and a pillow menu to choose from.
The bar and restaurant were being used for a function. The music was too loud for the staff to hear the phone when we tried to order room service.

"The room was very pleasant and the food in the restaurant was very nice. When booking, guests should be informed if there is a large function, such as a wedding so that they can make a choice as to whether to stay or not or can be given the opportunity to request a room as far away from the function as possible. Our room overlooked the patio area where guests were - very noisy and sleep disturbed."
Room was spacious enough and clean
Our room was the first room at the entrance to the corridor. There was no doorstop and the door banged against the wall each time it was opened - which was quite a lot! This was disturbing

"the staff made a special effort to accomodate us in a twin bedded room. As usual all the staff from front desk to the restaurant were very efficient.the only problem we had was one evening in the Moldy Fig when there was a shortage of staff and we had to wait a long time to be served. Normally we would have complained but the lady in charge was very nice and apologised profusely and we could see that it was not her fault but was due to a shortage of trained staff."

Pleasant,easily accessable hotel.
Quite a long wait before ordering meal in restaruant. Room prepared for three not a couple as requested.
