"lovely hotel, lovely location"

Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious!

I had changed my room to room only but when I got to the hotel the staff had no record of it but the gentleman involved did a dealwith us so it was ok

Hotel situated perfectly for city centre shops and nightlife

Change of name compared to booking details caused me a lot of hassle finding the hotel

An excellent hotel. Booking thru ActiveHotels meant the price was very low compared to if you book direct with the hotel but the accomodation was high quality and the staff helpful and friendly. Will definitely book thru ActiveHotels again and next time I need to stay in Birmingham this hotel will be top of my list.

No biscuits with the tea / coffee making facilities !

freindly check in staff,spotless room,clean hotel overall,just a feel good hotel.

the only problem we had was without realising the items in the fridge were on a sensor we moved 1 to fit my wifes medicine into the fridge and had to explain downstairs after recieving a mini bar charge on our bill,it was sorted out without fuss though.

A bit too much noise throughout the night due to position next to numerous nightclubs! Hair dryer was not very good.

PARKING WAS A NIGHTMARE AS AR WAS BROKEN INTO AND WOULD NEVER STAY AT THE HOTEL AGAIN

Although we were on the 8th floor the trafic noise was a little disturbing early morning !!

Virtually noise free room. Best night sleep we have had while staying in hotels in City Centre Birmingham. Very comfortable room.

"We visited Birmingham for an overnight stay and went to the NIA. The hotel was very handy, about a 10-15 minute walk away. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was very comfy and clean."

It was very central, comfy and clean. Although we didn't eat at the hotel the menu looked varied and good.

The price of drinks, both mini bar and reception bar very expensive

the view was excellent

the room we stayed in the bed sheets where stained with coffee,towels where not clean and dust everywhere.

"I was disappointed. My Mother and sister and I wanted a fun weekend away to do some Christmas shopping. The noisy neighbours in the next rrom, unlocked ajoining door, and dinner experience ruined the experience."

It was a functional, bright, modern room. The location of the hotel is excellent for the train station and shopping

The staff service was poor. We had an ajoining door to the neighbours room which was unlocked and it took 30mins for a staff member to find the keys to lock it at 2am. The booking for our restaurant reservation was messed up and the meal at Fillini a disaster - there was meat in my vegetarian pasta as they used the same sppon in the sauce as the Bolognase and the prawn & tuna rissotto had squid and octopus in it. mailnly the fault of sloppy kitchen staff and a poor waiter.

The rooms were immaculate and very well decorated. The customer service was outstanding. I felt comfortable and welcome.

"The whole stay was excellent. The check in was immediate and the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful and professional. We stay in quite a few hotels and many over the years and this has to be one of the best we have been in. Even when there was a wine glass short in our room and a slight problem with our bathroom plug. \ This was dealt with cutiously and all remedied by the time we returned to our room. The fresh fruit salad bar for breakfast was a real treat."

The modern colorful contemporary design and lightness of the room.

Staff were helpful and approachable. Room was about right for the price and location was ideal. Unlike other hotels, when we returned in the 'early hours' our stay was not disrupted by excessive noise and partying. Mini bar and hotel food was rather inflated in price but then, you'd half expect that. Bar was trendy but also quite comfortable and prices weren't too extortionate. I would consider booking this hotel again [not something I'd have said of previous hotel to this one].

Only prices really, everything else was pretty good.

whilst bathroom was fine it was a little bland

"room allocated was on 5th floor at back of hotel,directly outside the windows were the generators for the air conditioning for the whole of the hotel.After sleeping for around 2hours the noise from the generators woke us up after which we hardly slept.we didnt complain as it was the middle of the night and didnt really want to change rooms at three in the morning.On reading the booking conditions the next morning we found that if you are not happy during youre stay you do not pay however our stay was almost over when we complained. Reception just said sorry as though this was an everyday occurrance. I think customers should be made aware of the noise in these rooms and they should be ofered at substantionaly reduced rates.We have stayed at this hotel before,having a room at the front of the hotel which was first class."
