"I would not stay there again or recommend this hotel. It was not value for money. The reason i chose it was for the entertainment. i could have gone to a 3 star for the same price"

    comfortable beds, free parking

No entertainment as advertised, no bar, no restaurant. TV only had 3 channels No phone to reception Very noisy location

    "A very friendly hotel"

Good value + in the heart of town, close to sea and to shopping area. Bathroom was nice, possibly freshly redecorated and tiled.

No real bad points, you get what you pay for. The bed was extremely creeky and with the very thin mattress, was not very comfortable. But it was someone to sleep for the night and I've no complaints.

"It was not very good value for money. A budget hotel would have had better facilities and been cheaper!"

    The breakfast was lovely

The shower did not work properly, it was very hard to get the right temperature and there was little water pressure so the water just trickling out. The room was uncomfortabley hot throughout the stay and would have benefited from some kind of air conditioning or even a fan.

"Good value for money, however shower facilities require maintaining."

Reception booking and help to change breakfast time good.

Shower to small, not a big person and shower head only allowing restricted water spray.

Extremely helpful & friendly Proprietor, very fast breakfast service.

Lots of flys in receptin, not sure if this could be avoided very hot day. Only one sachet of shower gel & shampoo so had to re-request for the morning, small bottles would be be preffered.

"It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Can you send me a refund ASAP. I have written to Bournemouth Tourist board with my comments together with the Hotel Inspector who could possibly give the hotel owners some useful advice!"

I have already sent an email asking for a refund. No Bar, No one on duty at reception, large group of young lads staying very noisy from 1.00 in the morning onwards, foul language, banging doors etc. etc. Dirty crockery. Not enough light in the room, one standard lamp not working at all. Windows creaking all night with the wind whistling through. Very poor location lots of rowdy students most of the night. Near to a nightclub with the music banging on all night. We did not get a wink of sleep.

"Perfectly adequate but actually quite expensive in terms of what was offered."

Parking, welcoming receptionist, clean hotel, good blackout curtains

Hideously uncomfortable bed, room quite small, breakfast not up to much

"Good. I would recommend the hotel, the food, the service and the location. Not a 5 start but good value for money."

Good clean hotel. Smart and tidy when entering reception. Single room was more than adequate, although the entrance into the shower was a bit tight for the larger man. Dining room was good, service great and breakfast also great. Good value for money

The main hot water pipe for the whole hotel ran through my room which means it felt like the central heating was on all the time. The outside temperature was 25 degrees so inside it was sweltering. Bought a fan, did the trick. Noise from the adjoining hotel. My room was at the front and, with windows open, a lot of noise from your people outside next door. Not the hotels fault though.

"Many improvements could be made as this is basically a pleasant hotel in a quiet area but not too far from Bournemouth seafront. The rooms need updating and most guests would not mind waiting a few minutes for a freshly cooked breakfast."

Pleasant staff, ground floor room was adequate but basic.

Noise from drinks cooler near my room meant I had to shut window on hot night! Shower was difficult to operate, sink taps both produced hot water. Cooked breakfast was reheated and inedible.

    "fine and dandy"

food was fine, staff were good and the location was fine.

no staff to open hotel bar up and breakfast would have been better as a buffett for us to have helped ourselves.
