"Have stayed in some bad hotels over the years, in this country and abroad, but must say this has got to be in the top 10 worst ever."

No good points what so ever

room was dirty, found dirty towel in bedside cupboard, dirty cutlery in drawer. TV not tuned in, telephone unplugged and difficult to get to socket. No shower. Very overpriced.

Were able to leave our luggage on the day we left

Run down decor in room, cold, no working heater in bathroom, no bath mat.

Pleasant lady at checkin bed linen and towels were clean and fresh Good breakfast surprised that a number of guests were in pjs! Great location for station and town

Carpet and bathroom floor were grubby It was 5 years since TV was tested - a nail was used to hold on/off switch! Smoke alarm in corridor beeped all night Secodary glazing was long gone

    "Bad,bad,bad........"

    sorry but there were none....

The whole place was falling apart, and it could do with a good lick of paint and some very deep cleaning, overall it was a huge disapointment.P.s dont go by the photos on the internet they must of been enhanced. The place was terrible for the price we paid.

    Breakfast quality ok

hotel room very low standard, dirty sheets, decor awful, door casing all broke, bathroom door did not shut, just an overall very poor standard of bedroom.

Excellent hotel, excellent location - very central to Chester town centre. But there was no problem with noise at night.

    Lack of dedicated parking area.

"the hotel hotel was central and very convenient and we think once the problems are ironed out it would be a useful place to stay."

the staff were very helpful and as they were working for a company they had problems which could not be corrected overnight

there was a neglected look of the room we stayed in and is wasn't at all like the photos on the website so we were disappointed but made the best of a bad job.

"The hotel suited our needs for a 2 night stay. A little more attemtion to detail was needed, the remote did not work for the T.V., two out of four bulbs in the room were out, the bathroom had no heating and was freezing! A shower head was fitted 12 inches to the side, above the taps.... why? If it had been at the normal height and a curtain or screen put up.......bingo, you have a shower!! Service at breakfast on the Sunday was shambolic but O.K on Saturday."

Good breakfast, quiet at night and good location for town centre.

Booked the bridal suite but room was much smaller than anticipated. No shower!!

"I was not going to stay at this hotel for more than 2 nights so the information I have fount on the hotel site suited me. I am quite happy with my stay there."

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the railway station and at the same time within the walking distance from the sity center. It is a quiet and comfortable place to stay. The room I stayed in was very spacious, cosy and clean, with comfortable bed.The bathroom and toilet are in a very good condition, and spacious too.Though it was relatevly warm outdoors, the heating was on at night. The staff was hospitable and very helpful. A very good value for money.

There might be a fridge in the room. The TV set areal did not work properly.
