"Very enjoyable."
Beautiful garden. Staff very friendly. Good food.
Bed had an ill fitting headboard that was very noisy. Room had lots of lamps and sockets but many didn't work. As room was in the attic, a fan would be good for hot weather.

"A good hotel but a little pricey."
Nice Decor and lovely four poster bed. Room had good character with sloping roof.
No Shower - only a bath.

"This is a great hotel if you want to be in the centre of town, but away from any noise. Lovely building full of character, and staff were absolutely excellent, nothing too much trouble for them; particularly as when we checked in there had been a problem with the booking, but it was rectified quickly and we were given a room upgrade without any problems. Lovely walled garden at the back of the hotel, excellent for sitting in the sunshine with a bottle of wine. Would definately stay again."
beautiful building, quiet and peaceful yet close to all amenities.

"Comfortable hotel in historic building, very close to the centre of town. There is no on-site parking, but a Council car-park is opposite, free to use between 6pm and 9am. Pleasant and helpful staff - although the hotel's own restaurant was closed it was a Sunday in early February, after all I was given useful advice about other restaurants in the town. Good breakfast."
Pleasant room, comfortable bed.

"I think I may have been victim to 'single room syndrome', where single guests get the smaller, less good room. For the price I would have expected a proper shower, for example. The decor of the bedroom didn't match the promise of the exterior of the hotel. But Fiona, the manager, was lovely, helpful and efficient, and the whole place was spotlessly clean."
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent, especially breakfast. Having a computer for guest use is a nice touch, and the garden looked lovely, though it was too cold to investigate fully!
My room was very small, and rather shabby - handles missing off the wardrobe, broken light in the bathroom, worn carpet, and no proper shower.

"We enjoyed our visit if the hotel, it was very relaxed and had an open feel about it. The only let down was the room. Although the bed was big and spacious and we had a good night sleep it looked bare and unloved."
The hotel was in a great position in the town, close to the center and the hotel had a lovely old fashioned grand house style about it.
The rooms didnt fit the style of the hotel

"Fine"
The staff were friendly. Nice Garden. In the town centre. Wifi access. Negotiated a late check out.
At £80 I thought a bit expensive, although good breakfast included. No Chef for Dinner or Lunch, but as there are good places to eat nearby it wasn't too much of a problem.
