"Very much worth of the money. Good location, good service and a good room. I booked a double room as in many places single rooms are very small. I think in this place even single room would be big enough didn't check. Possibility to use kitchen is definitely an advantage for a person like me. Definitely I will stay there if possible during my next stay in Manchester due to my studies. Online booking was easy and reliable."
I was very surprised of the quality, far better than I expected. The check-in person sorted out well a small problem in the booking system so that I didn't need to change rooms during my two night stay. Room was very large and had good en-suite bathroom. Bed was good and bedding warm and clean and suitable for a person allergic to feathers. Kitchen available for making tea and even for cooking, fridge available and no one stole my youghurts. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Near the railway station Piccadilly, no need to use taxi. TV in the room luxury. No traffic noise or disturbance by fellow visitors.
Stairs to climb up to the check-in and up to the room. Computer room is small and two of the four desk tops were out of order. Visitor has to pay for the use of internet. Wireless not available.small issues, wireless is available in many places in town, no worries really.

"Very good if you want a budget stay , would recommend . One small note : the mattresses were rather soft , would have been a perfect 10 if it weren't for them ..otherwise Really pleasent indeed ."
Very centrally located ,friendly and helpful staff .
only bad point is that there was a small skip depot underneath the room , and people used to throw empty glass bottles which often shattered making a loud noise ...especially at 3am , but this did not effect the overall stay at all .

"Excellent. Perfect location and relaxed place to stay, really was the cherry on the cake for our visit."
Friendly staff, central location, 24hr reception, good sized room and huge bathroom, relaxed atmosphere
3 o'clock check in was quite late for us, though we were able to dump our bags so it didn't really matter.

"The stay was enjoyable enough as it was only for one night, if we stay over in manchester again I would use a proper hotel. It did not say on the internet advert it was a hostel type accomodation albeit with private rooms. The staff when asked directions to the City of Manchester stadium sent us in the wrong direction.....one would think they would know where a major sporting venue was situated. But overall you pay for what you get in the main...so some complaints but only minor ones."
spacious and clean
no bedroom tea/coffee facilities which meant using a kitchenette, which was short of the bare essentials. They advertised continental breakfast....is brown bread, which was all that was available for toast, continental ?. It would be easier to put a kettle etc in the bedroom. The plugs in the sinks, both hand basin and bath did not work properly, they had to be lifted manually to drain the water. They could have advertised that there were no parking facilities. It cost

"overall it was good we really enjoyed our time with you."
it was in a great location it was close to shops and nightlife, the room was clean and the bed was huge and really comfy, for the cost it was really good we really didn't expect to get the level of comfort in budget accommodation we were even able to check in far earlier than stated great
there was only 2 niggles where there could be improvements the first was a broken blind at the window and the other was that there was a large gap under the door which meant that we were woken 3 times in the night as other guests returned to their rooms noisily, you cant do anything about other guests being noisy but a better fitting door or even installing a brush or similar device to the bottom of the door would cut down on the noise and be cheap and easy to install.

"We had a nice large double room with on-suite bathroom - very comfortable large bed with clean sheets and towels we stayed in room 301 on the 3rd floor. We only stayed one night in manchester but would certainly consider staying at this hotel again if we were passing through."
Large clean room. Polite helpful reception staff.

"the location was fantastic too, a 5 min walk from picadilly station, 2 min walk to primark and all the high street shops and the arndale. we stayed in manchester as we were going to see BloodBrothers in the Opera House, the opera house its self was literally a 10 min walk down one main road, portland street i think. lots of bars and casinos to visit."
The double ensuite room i booked was spotless, and modern.
nothing, it was excellent. we had a fantastic stay!! the staff were helpful and printed out a map for us to the opera house.

Clean, position in the city and space of rooms - we stayed in a double.

"we enjoyed our time at the hotel but we didn't realise it was hostel type accommodation and therefore self service in the kitchen. we used this only to make a hot drink after our evening out. perhaps in the private rooms/ loft conversions tea and coffee making facilities could be provided. our room was very clean and comfortable"

the hotel room was immaculate. was closeby to the menn arena and train staion, which was why booked it.

"A good place to stay if wanting a central location. The hotel is pretty basic and is actually twinned with a cheap hostel which is a little confusing on first impressions. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean."
Central location
No parking on site had to park in nearby NCP

"Although the website claimed this was a hostel type hotel we were not aware when booking that we would have to cook and clean up our breakfast things so we didint actually have any breakfast which we paid for. The location of the hotel/hostel howerver was brilliant and the cleanliness and standards of the rooms was high so in future, if I needed to stay again, I might be tempted to book again just not include breakfast."
Clean, spacious, modern bedroom with nice en-suite bathroom. Great location.
The website claimed it was supposed to be bed and continental breakfast which consisted of making your own toast with some jam on then washing your plates and cutlery afterwards. This is not my idea of a continental breakfast, usually its croissants, cheeses and meats etc which is prepared for you and somebody else washes up after you. Also, one of the blinds was broken on the window and wasnt fixed while we were there which meant we were overlooked during the day by the offices opposite.

from Newcastle upon tyne United Kingdom;UK, stayed on December 12, 2006
"Great price for clean, comfortable rooms in a good location. However, it can't seem to decide if it's a posh hostel or a cheap hotel, so your hotel-like room is somewhat marred by the hostel-like noise."
Location, hotel-like security swipe cards, proper luggage office, free internet access.
Noise of other guests - due to the hostel ethos, many other guests are pretty inconsiderate and roll in drunk and shouting in the wee hours of the morning. It's noisy even in the private en-suite rooms as the walls are fairly thin.
from Bromsgrove United Kingdom;UK, stayed on December 11, 2006

Traffic noise, having to walk around the room to switch the only light off. No hot drink facility in room.

"I would recommend the hotel to anyone. It was immaculately clean. The only one thing I would say is that it is possibly more for younger people. The kitchen is communal which we knew about and people are supposed to wash up after themselves which many didn"
The Hilton Chambers was friendly, clean and comfortable. It was close to the shopping centres and near lots of cafe's and pubs.

"I felt that we were very welcomed in this hotel. We got lost and the gentleman who 'talked me through' getting to the hotel was extrememly knowledgable and helpful. Thank you very much C!My only disappointment was that I was 100% sure that I had booked a bed and breakfast for the 2 nights but that was my fault no one elses!! The hotel was very near the MEN arena and close to Manchester city centre. All staff that we spoke to were very helpful and knew the city exceptionally well."
the bed in the room was fantastic! the room and bathroom was very clean
throughout our 2 night stay there wasn't anything i didn't like however i did find that the room was very cold with nowhere to dry towels after shower/bath
from Gosport United Kingdom;UK, stayed on November 8, 2006
"a well presented cheap and cheerful hotel with no airs or graces above the student type area where breakfast is no more than tea and toast en mass with people walking around eating and brushing teeth in reception. not to be confused with the hilton chain of hotels make sure you get correct address for taxi as will probably take you to new hilton hotel on deansgate which this is not. get over the initial impression and you will be pleasantly surprised. good for centre of town but very noisy at 4am when witching hour clubs kick outoccurs."
nice clean and spacious room
shared with what appeared to be a hostel type of accommodation below with reception very unorganised due to large amount of people changing over at same time
stayed on November 2, 2006
it was clean, central and had a massive kingsize bed!
it was very basic, not quite what we had in mind. Breakfast was supposed to be included, however this consisted of a self catering kitchen so we were therefore dissapointed. This should be highlighted on the details.
