"Great value, good base for a great weekend in a great city"
Excellent value, efficient and friendly hotel, good value bar, excellent buffet breakfast room basic but well designed and covered all our needs.
None really. Flush in the loo a bit tough to push and poorly sited, but hardly worth mentioning

"As above- not impressed with accommodation for 16 year old daughter staying with me and my wife in the double room!"
Prompt attention of staff.
Boooking on line did not allow for entering my 16 year old daughter in addition to me and my wife- I had to enter her as a "Request". When we arrived there was no bed clothes/pillows for her for the measely and too small pull-out sofa- not big enough for a 16 year old. Very disappointed and will not be using Express Inn again.

"Apart from inconsiderate guests, the hotel provided just what we wanted."
Hotel conveniently situated for our purpose, clean and had facilities we expected.
Visitor guests were the problem. Three rooms with young women were close to our room. Came to the hotel at 01.00 and ran and screamed up and down the corridor, slamming doors until 02.30. It spoiled what would have been a pleasant stay!

I was checked into a disabled room initially and had to contact reception to be moved into a standard double. Continental breakfast should be replaced with option of cooked breakfast.

Although it was stated in the booking confirmation that parking was extra there was no mention that this was in a multi storey car park and as we had two company vans the only option was to park in the car park alongside the hotel. this was not a problem but to then be charged more than the price for overnight in the multi storey car park was unjustified.

"Although have stated would stay in hotel again would want better guarantee's that i am actually going to stay in the type of room i had booked for."
Minor reduction in cost of room due to inconvenience see below. Room provided with was adequately equipped and the breakfast was very nice.
Booked a double room and was provided with a twin. Unable to offer a double when raised with reception

Hotel interior design. I like the idea of the ironing room - obviously I'd prefer an iron in the room but this was better then waiting for an iron to be free.
Staff could be friendlier. Staff could also be more knowledgable about the pubs/restaurants along the canal.

"The staff where polite, but there was a lack of staff and so a lot of waiting around, and getting served. This is the problem of bad management rather then staff performance issues. This created a bad tone which passed among the visitors. Cut backs but then service gets hit and reputation falls which will hit revenue."

"Overall everything good. Only slight problem was we had booked double rooms, but twins were provided. Staff very quickly sorted out different rooms, so all easily resolved. Drinks in bar extortionately expensive."

No sky sports in the room. The window is too close to the next building which drove me nuts.

The breakfast was excellent as even though it was a continental breakfast it was unlimited and there was plenty of choice.
The size of the room was a little on the small side, but just about adequate.

"This hotel is very easy to find as you simply follow the signs for Leeds Armouries which lead you nicely to the hotel as it is next to the Armouries. There is a public car park next to the hotel which makes parking easy and the hotel give you a card which enables you to get a discount on the price of parking which is handy. We found the staff very friendly. We found the hotel overall including our room very clean, comfortable and modern. We didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food but the menu looked interesting and we felt the food was reasonably priced. We would definitely stay at this hotel again."
Very clean, modern and comfortable and the staff were friendly

"My adult daughter and I had a pleasant shopping experience in Leeds and were very comfortable in the Hotel. Because of the short walk from the hotel into Leeds Centre we would have liked the discount on the parking fees to cover more than just 24 hours. However I am recommending this hotel to other members of the family who wish to visit the Armouries."
Anewish hotel which still looked clean and fresh. Very light seating arrangement for breakfast and bar. In a supreme site for families looking to 'do' the Royal Armouries with car park next door as well as Pizza Express and other restaurants. Our twin room on the second floor was very comfortable and we experienced little noise from either fellow guests or people in the square under our window.
There only appeared to be one staff member on reception who also appeared to be extremely busy on the computer. Also because the heating only came on in the room after the card was inserted in the wall, it made the room feel cold this was in November and we had to wait for the room to 'heat up'
