The quality of the public areas i.e. the bar and reataurant was very poor

"I mistakenly booked the wrong date when using the on-line service, following a short phone call to your customer services we were re-scheduled and the rest ran like clockwork...as detailed above. Excellent service and an excellent hotel...well done to both groups. Merry Christmas."

"The hotel was fine, room ok just very noisy,staff pleasant although wouldn't let us check in at 2:45pm check in time 3pm which was a bit annoying.overall would go back, avoiding top floor."

Avoid room 401,next to lift and mechanical plant room constant humming of motors not very relaxing

Room modern, Breakfast excellant. Location very good, central to shopping and main town.Wouls stay here again.
Bathroom needed upgrading. No air conditioning, room very warm.

"Hotel was lovely as always, we use Hilton Hotels regularly. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was Great lots of variety and the hot food was lovely and hot. Only bad comment is that the room was on the small size."

"Noisy. I would have thought Hilton by now would have installed sound proofing. Not only was my room directly opposite a lift with the inevitable shouting and laughter as people used it at night, my room overlooked a main road with the usual array of bars, etc and the noise continued until after 3 am; by around 7 the traffic din began!"

"Disappointing- we have never complained about accomodatuion before and travel continually. It is with regret that we write these notes but we hope it may help regain the Hilton's great name. "
Staff pleasant but not punctual, central location so close to all main attractions.
Promised checkin time not avaliable even 90 mins later so given another inferior room where heating could not be turned down and single beds instead of double. Eventually changed rooms but no fridge and inferior bathroom. We have used the Hilton chain for years and have been members of the Hilton Club but this experience was less than satisfactory.Staff promised to follow up concerns but rarely did.
