"We had a one night stay, attempted to check in quite early and was told that our room was not ready as we suspected. However, staff offered to tot ake our luggage and look after it to allow us to go shopping in the town centre. On our return, much later, we were pleasantly surprised to be given an upgrade to a suite. Room was very nice with plenty of room for the two of us and a complimentary bottle of wine."

Good central location in Glasgow for shopping, bars and restaurants. Good view from upper floors over the city. Friendly helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room

    No car park.

    "ok nothing special,"

wall paper and style of reception good, when i bought a poppy the girl at the front desk offered a sticker type one which was thoughtful and nice

no umbrellas - it rained- asked to print out document urgently - could not do it for 5 hours - would have to wait till 3 pm asked in the morning before event, print out would have arrived after event had taken place reason computer was banking no mini bar in room, could not find booking on arrival at check in so had to hang around in the lobby , food availble after 10 pm is only sandwichs and they are not tasty,

    "Good location."

Hotel was centrally located, so very easy access to shops and restaurants. Paid extra for an executive room which was of a good size. Breakfast was ok, bit cold, but edible.

Although we paid extra and the standard room was of a good size, the bed was far too short so pretty uncomfortable

    "Brilliant time."

The decor in the hotel was fab, the space for 3 women was fab,

Complimentary toiletries only set for 2 guests, room booked for 3 but slept 4.

"Great room, great location. Terrible restaurant service, average food."

The room was decorated to an excellent standard, large and comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent position for exploring the city.

Roughly 90% of the staff in the restaurant were Eastern European and although friendly and polite they did not serve us in a relaxed fashion... I felt under pressure to eat a 3 course supper in less than an hour, drinks were delivered en masse, I received my soup with no cutlery etc. This standard of service continued at breakfast time when it took approx 45 minutes to receive our food we suspect that our order was accidently given away to two other tables before we received it.

"Had a really relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel"

Very Central Hotel. Beautiful Room. Three Beds made up for us, even though there was a Double and a Single bed in the Room. Kept our bags safely behind reception whilst we shopped in the afternoon, although we had already checked out

Although room made up for 3 only 2 tea cups etc but this was rectified immediately and without any fuss

"Was very pleased with the standards of the hotel and staff were very polite and helpful."

Was very clean and cosy. As a young couple, we were very pleased that we could go out and have a good night in the city and return to the hotel at our leisure.

Found the One Bar And Grill quite expensive, and were woke in the early hours of the morning by the men in the next room.

"The well equpied room has tea/coffer facilities, hairdryer and cute, small iroining table had iron. The decor is quite modern but relaxing with colour co-ordinated soft furnishings.Comfortable beds and duvets that were clean nd fresh. There was hardly any traffic noise for a front facing room, a bonus point! Powerful shower and sensible size towels to round off a busy day.The hotel is central for the theatre, shops and cinema and within walking distance of Central Station. Excellent, I will be returning."

The room was large and well equiped, comfortable bed and had lounge chairs as well.

"When making a room booking online the information about type of rooms is not clear."

Good food, ideally situated in the Glasgow business quarter for business travellers, and pleasant interiors.

The room was a double but was very small, which wasn't what I was expecting as I have stayed at this hotel many times this year and last year.

"Very good room service and an excellent breakfast."

    Comfortable bed and generally guiet.

There is no choice regarding the number of beds in a room. As I Would prefer just one double or king size bed if given the choice, and not a triple which seems to be the norm.

"Excellent overall stay with the bar prices reasonable and the service pleasant. Special mention for the restaurant staff, very attentive. Pre theatre dinner excellent quality and good value for money. At breakfast again good quality food well prepared and served. We will now always use Marks when in Glasgow."

Good size room, clean and reasonably quiet at night considering city centre location.

A few more toiletries eg shower cap a few more teabags and some biccies would be nice!

The decor in the room was pleasant rather than just boring magnolia.

Builing works taking place which I didn't know about. No information about the hotel facilities in the bedroom. No little shampoo and body lotion or tissues in bathroom. No trouser press in bedroom. No eating facilities. Little brown bag outside bedroom door in the morning for breakfast which was nice but we didn't know about it. Reception staff were getting in quite a muddle booking us in which was annoying as I had all the details printed off from internet.

"Information about building work and restricted facilities"

Very central close to many good restaurants

Buiding work. No bar. Poor continental breakfast delivered to room. No room service no restaurant. None of this was mentioned at time of booking

As bedrooms go it was OK - it had a bed, a toilet and a working shower

Some hip finishes disguise dated furniture, lack of thought over the TV positioning - no mini bar!

"The hotel restaurant and bar are undergoing major refurbishment and therefore were not open. There was no advance warning on the Active Hotels booking site or on the confirmation received. there was little or no information in the room about the hotel, its facilities or the company which owns/manages it."

    Cleanliness, comfort of bed.

Work going on in hotel and lack of availability of facilities.

"The short stay I had was fine. I would have preferred to know in advance about the lack of restaurant facilities. If I had been staying for longer, this would have been more of a problem."

The decor was very attractive and the room was comfortable.

The television reception in the room was very poor. There were no on-site food and drink facilities, due to refurbishment.

"It was a short walk from the central train station although the hill was a bit tough with the suitcases!! The staff were very friendly when checking in and one member of staff booked taxi's for us and got train time tables he was very helpfull and friendly. We went for breakfast the second morning in the hotel bar it was very expensive at 7.50 where as we got the same breakfast for 1.99 the previous morning but we weren't fit to walk the distance. The rooms were very clean and spacious, we had 3 people staying in the rooms and it was no problem to have extra towels delivered up to our roon."

Friendly staff, Clean Fresh Room, Close to centre, We would recommend this hotel.

Our rooms were not beside each other but that was because we booked it late so it was not the hotels fault

The room was very spacious so plenty of room for everyone, the shower was brilliant compared to some showers in other hotels as they often lack power! there was a very friendly atmosphere, will definately be up to stay again.
