Roomy
Opposite public house thereforetoo noisy - was looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend. Too expensive for a basement noisy apartment that with a backstreet entrance - felt unsafe as a female solo travellor in a strange town. Documents had Mr., which was not a nice wecome Am very feminine!

"Great stay, hotel and Bath were lovely. I would recommend SACO to anyone! Great for families!"
Huge room! Full kitchen with all the utencils, plates, cookware included plus a gift basket of food! Milk and orange juice in the fridge! It was great! Two double size bath towels- we used them for the mineral baths- a large bath tub and each room has it's own water heater, TV, and radio.
Had to walk for FIVE whole minutes to get to the Roman baths :

"A serviced apartment is a nice luxury but this was only semi-serviced."
Excellent location with everything in easy walking distance. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were of adequate size but the photos on the website were misleading.
The advertisement and website for a full-service apartment were misleading. The apartments are only serviced once a week so no housekeeping and no clean towels. When I enquired about this I was told there was an extra charge for towels! At £150/night this is outrageous.

"Excellent"
Spacious apartment with excellent amenities. Better than a 5 star hotel.
from Broxbourne UK, stayed on October 30, 2008
"Comfortable accomodation in excellent location less than 5 minute stroll to Roman Baths and 2 minutes to railway station"
Apartment was clean and comfortable, excellent facilities including washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer, flat screen tv in living room and bedroom with dvd player in the bedroom. Apartment felt very secure for a single parent travelling with a young child. Welcome pack of milk, juice, cereal etc was much appreciated.
satellite tv was not working when we arrived, contacted reception who had to be reminded of problem after 45 mins, eventually told that problem could not be resolved, as I was travelling with my 9 year old daughter this was a bit of a problem as she wanted to watch tv after a long days sightseeing

Location, facilities and the friendliness of the staff

"Very pleased to have found the SACO approach to hotels/staying away. Will use again."
Excellent proximity to the town centre and a lovely alternative to the usual unfriendly hotel.
The was quite a lot of road noise and also quite alot from the "Bath Tap" pub over the road. We stayed on Friday and Saturday nights so noise is maybe to be expected but it was still quite loud.

Nice and Clean room. Excellent facilities. Good location.
No breakfast provides.
stayed on September 18, 2008
Light and spacious. Well equipped.
Could have done with a blanket in the sitting room for evenings. Could have done with doorstops to open up the area. The heavy fire doors were annoying and resulted in wasted space in the entrance area.

"We were very pleasantly suprised by the saco apartments. We have not stayed in or heard much about this concept previously and were take by the flexibility and value for money compared to a hotel or bed and breakfast. The apartment was fantastically well equipped from a dishwasher and hairdryer to cornflakes with milk!We had a really comfortable and relaxing stay in Bath and will definitely use the saco company in future - I have my eye on Sydney harbour apartments for the next trip! Overall, I think the apartments offer a fantastic home from home which suit everyone from business to leisure travellers offering excellent accomodation at competitive prices."
Modern high spec fittings. Excellent space. Very clean. Great central location. Helpful informative staff
Only problem car parking was on the expensive side

"Lovely place to stay, very clean and well maintained with good facilities. Information given when booking told me nearly all I needed to know. The price of parking would have been useful although the cost of local parking wasn't too expensive."
Clean, fabulous TV
Toilet not working properly and a litte dark.

"after staying in many budget and upper market hotels this has by far been the most pleasant place we have chosen. when booking we did so in a hurry so were unaware of what to expect and were a little taken aback when entering the apartment. we thought we had made a mistake on the cost of the nights stay because of fantastic facilities.highly recomend saco and their apartments to everyone."
the feeling that nobody had been in the apartment before made us feel quite special. top marks to your standards. also the pleasant surprise of the welcome basket was very much appreciated.
a very petty dislike for this location was maybe the view from the windows, but was so minor all the good points completely over shadowed this.

"The apartment was excellent, and of reasonable price relative to the cost of hotel accomodation in Bath."
The up to date, stylish set up and location.
Wooden floors are great but it amkes for a lot more noise from the room above.

"This is the first time we have stayed in a serviced apartment and we would certainly do so again. Saco obviously have very high standards which is evident in the general fittings in the apartment. Lots of nice little touches including a welcome pack."
Large bedroom and flexibility of having self catering facilities.

"This was a very nice place to stay. Central to Bath city centre, a short walk from the train station, and near the main shopping street. Having a suite was nice, and the full kitchen would be a great asset for longer stays especially."
Very nice suite with separate kitchen/living and bed room. Fully equipped kitchen.
Some overnight street noise from traffic.

"Never heard of Saco before this trip, but from now on I would definately check if they have accomodation wherever I go and take it as a first choice. The concept of it being an apartment we had the 1 bedroom version rather than a hotel suits me down to the ground as you get way way more space for your money. Location is central Bath, never needed any transport to get about, good restaurants all around this area as well as the tourist places. 2 Minutes from Thermae Spa. Rooms had broadband and potential to rent an XBox or borrow DVDs, although we didn't partake in this as we were only in town for 2 nights. Only real drawback was the noise from the street, didn't bother me but some people might not like that. We were in the lower ground apartment so if its a problem for you ask to move higher up. LIKE IT!"
Absolutely everything, but especially what you get for your money - a home away from home.

"Very helpful and pleasant staff. Thanks for childrens DVD loans! We ate well because wes self catered. In the winter Bath museums, tour buses, pump roomclose too early."
Clean, functional, well eqipped.
Not such a great view!

"A very successful internal refurbishment behind the preserved facade. Clean lines and surfaces very attractive. Comfortable bed and neat bathroom. Had the room been our own apartment we would have arranged the living room furniture/entertainment cluster differently - but this is nit-picking. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay that we hope to repeat."
The apartment concept seems to work very well. Location between station and city centre just right for us.

"Would stay again for business or leisure. The SACO staff were particularly helpful."
Good family-oriented facilities; recently and tastefully decorated.
No on-site parking: made unpacking car a headache!
from Cheddleton United Kingdom;UK, stayed on January 7, 2007
Modern furniture and facilities, all of a high standard and tastefully decorated. Plenty of information about local places to visit and restaurants.
Narrow corridors with quite a distance to carry the luggage and pushchair.

"The fact that it is no visable Saco outside if you are driving."
The fact that it felt like an appartment coupled with the feeling that you weren't staying at a Hotel or at someone else's place. The small attention to details such as fresh milk in the fridge and cornflakes made it an enjoyable stay.
I didn't find any fault.
from Orpington United Kingdom;UK, stayed on October 31, 2006
"my only concern was having to leave my car in a multi storey carpark. On the + side it was very close but would have liked to have been informed of this on the web when booked. I definatly would like to stay again and will do in the future. The staff were really helpful and happy to assist. I did feel like this hotel was aimed at business travellers, but on arrival was treated excellently."

"Our first time in an apartment hotel. We loved the flexibility to be able to self-cater for some meals. By saving 50% on hotel prices, we had more money to swim at the wonderful Thermae Spa baths, shop and eat at our choice of restaurant. Excellent location in the centre of Bath."
Half the price of a hotel for the same quality, right in the centre of Bath
No parking, not even drop-off parking for arrival/departure.

"As a business traveller I stay in hotels regularly so I know exactly what I like and what I dont like about hotels- I love the feel of SACO and the independance it gives you - the SACO hotel gives you far more amenities than you would normally expect from a hotel and you also have the freedom to cook etc that you would not be able to do in a hotel. I would defininely stay at SACO again either in Bath or elsewhere - in fact we are already planning our next romantic break but will choose a city where there is a SACO!!!"
Everything - the studio was beautifully appointed and clean
There was nothing to dislike - air conditioning would have been a bonus
