"Really enjoyed our time here and it made a nice change from staying at these modern hotels with no character at all."
Very friendly, excellent food, lovely setting
Hot water took a long time to come through when using the shower

"Very pleasant and enjoyable."
Very good greeting and welcome. Very helpful and friendly manager. Pretty room with quaint features ie. staircase down to very nice bathroom. Lovely atmosphere, lovely grounds. Good breakfast.
Shower needed attention but water hot. Difficult to find without asking directions and to access at night in the dark. However, good mainroad location.

"We will go back to stay it was a real battery recharger weekend. The owners make you feel so welcome "
If you want a fine dining experience with wonderful personal service this is the Guest House for you. The best meal I have ahd in England in the 2 years we have lived here. I would go for the evening meal and service alone.
We stayed in the cottage and it was nicely done. Small put that is the period small rooms It was very clean and excellent that wanted to cook a meal themselves

"We really liked the House and its setting, the Host was exceptionally pleasant. The one thing lacking though was a bar or lounge when you left your room you had to go out as there was no other option. Also there was a set menu of 4 courses at one set price, with no other choices of a smaller menu if you required one, which we found a shame as we would have really liked to have eaten there rather than go out and find an alternative. Overall I would still recommend the hotel as we enjoyed our stay very much."
The accommodation was very good the room was bright, modern and clean although the shower was not working properly at the time.

"Thoroughly enjoyed a superb dinner chosen from a most imaginative menu and beautifully presented by friendly and highly professional owners. Loved the gardens with lots of nooks and crannies with tables and chairs to hide away in. Pity no residents lounge."
The informal friendliness of the owners, the food and the gardens.
Disappointed that the hotel did not have a lounge for pre dinner drinks etc. As it happened the weather was kind to us and we were able to sit in the garden by the pond and watch the baby moorhens. I would probably describe Crossways as a restaurant with rooms. The A27 is a nightmare!!
