"The hotel is situated in a handy position for both the town and the beach."
A very comfortable hotel, the dining area was pleasant and the breakfast was very good. There was plenty of choice.

"The hotel is convenient for the close proximity of the BIC. The staff were friendly. The room was acceptable, although the bathroom was extremely tired."
The breakfast was excellent and the friendliness of the staff top notch.
The spa! The pool was too cold to physically enter, the jacuzzi was out of order and the sauna was switched off. We chose this hotel as it included spa facilities and were extremely disappointed that we are unable to utilise the facilities!

"I booked on line and was asked smoking or non smoking, as my wife smokes i booked smoking. when arrived at hotel i was told it was a non smoking hotel; we were not amused if i had known that i would have booked else where. We have stayed at other hotels and had smoking rooms. I was annoyed that you got our booking by false advertising. I would recommend your hotel to none smoking friends"

"Overall it was a lovely Hotel with good facilities had they been working properly. The room was clean, comfortable and well equiped. The food in the Hotel was excellent, really impressed. We only had one evening meal and wish now that we had had more, but we will know for next time."
The staff were excellent although some of them weren't brilliant at speaking English. The food was excellent spot on.
Wasn't over impressed by the first room offered as it was at the top of the hotel and there were some work in progress in refurbishing the Hotel, having said that, we were offered a much nicer room straight away. Also whilst there the swimming pool had problems with outside rain water entering the system and the pool was closed for most of our stay which was disappointing as the leisure facilities was one of the main reasons I chose this Hotel.

"The radiator was off and I still needed to open the window wide, then during the night it rained and I had to wake up and close it to stop me things getting wet. When I called a week in advance to ask about the checking in time, I was suddenly, out of the blue, told that the hotel were looking for another hotel for me! I had booked eleven mnonths before and earlier that year had been asked if I still wanted my rooms, would I please consider cancelling imediately. In the end I managed to talk them into changing their mind - but this is atrocious customer service and not the only complication in the booking - which should really be a straight forward procedure. I would have walked immediately but I couldn't gurantee getting another hotel room. The hotel relies on its location - I my company and in future my group will definatly be seeking alternative accommodation in the future. And that's not the half of it! Were they discriminating? They don't like customers at all, they certainly tried to cancel our booking for 'security reasons' - perhaps they just didn't like my name?"
The food provided for the meetings was tasty.
The heat was intolerable. The booking procedure was an absolute nightmare.

"Although the hotel was being refurbished it had a general grubby, jaded air. Linen in the restaurant was stained and unwashed. Staff were unhelpful and gave the impression that they either did not know what to do or could not be bothered. In some cases especially the restauantstaff appeared to resent being there and guests were treated as if they were a nuisance. The woman in charge of the restaurant was surly and rude, on one morning refusing to hold a hot plate whilst serving breakfast, pushing it onto a guest stating you hold it, it's hot with no napkin to lessen the heat. Staff here definitely need training in customer care! learning to say good morning or thank you would be a good start. The car park was woefully inadequate resulting in many guests being blocked in overnight unable to move their cars. Also very noisy at night. I have stayed in many hotels throughout the world and this was definitely the worst customer care by far. Very disappointing. Would definitely not recommend this hotel. I am sure there are better 3 star establishments in Bournemouth that would be far more welcoming."
Insufficient parking, many guests blocked in overnight. Staff were unhelpful and discourteous.

"There was building work being carried out that we were unaware of but as we stayed on a Sunday evening it did not did disturb us but had we been staying longer over a period when the works would be carried out then there may have been a problem."

"The hotel being near the BIC centre is easy to find even in the dark. We were made very welcome. In particular I booked it for the leisure facilities and the jacuussi. They both came up to expectations. The only aspect I phoned up to find out was the timing of the pool opening. Thanks for out stay of one night due to committments. It served us well."
It was very convenient to reception dining room and most important to me personally, the leisure centre. Thanks in particular for the pool. I used it three times, on arrival , before breakfast and before we booked out. Just the job.
A small niggle that I could not use the pool after 9.30pm as we went out to see friends in the early evening and you could not use it before 7.30am which means limited space before breakfast if you wanted to leave early. Their was a security system and the CCTV on so I was curious other than for possible maintenance why it was restricted. It could effect people on business wanting to use the facilities.

"For a three star hotel the Trouville is excellent. The rooms are cosy and clean and the breakfast in the morning is delicious. It's also well situated directly across from the BIC and just a short stroll from Bournemouth's sea front. There's also a good bar, open 24 hours, at the Trouville but what makes the place really special is the friendliness of the staff. They're excellent! On the final day of my stay I overslept slightly and thought I'd missed breakfast. Imagine my surprise when a lovely waitress from the restaurant called to tell me that if I wanted breakfast they would keep a table ready for me! And she did just that! She went out of her way to make sure I didn't miss breakfast on the final day of my stay!"
For a three star hotel the room was excellent. It was clean, comfortable and had a nice en-suite bathroom. There was also a good TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a nice bonus was the writing desk as I often take work with me on my travels.
The walls seem to be rather thin and the floors creak a lot so you can often hear people in adjacent rooms.
