"No comments as I did not stay in the hotel."

    None that I could see

I checked in surrounded by an overwhelming smell of stale curry powder - the whole aspect looked seedy and unclean - I did not return and made other arrangements for my overnight stay - the hotel looked clean and bright on the website but the opposite was the case in reality.

"Please note, I was the guest staying NOT the above mentioned. Doug Graham"

No menu choice for evning meals, could do with decoration and there was a frayed carpet on the staircase which needs addressing

Great views of the beach, fantastic food and hospitality!! I would recommend having an Indian home made dinner. Very delicious, great price and a lot of food! The hotel is in a good location since you can go on a day trip to Lake District.

The rooms are a little old but not bad for the price.

    "Adequate for a short break."

    Friendly staff, pleasent lounge.

Choice for cooked breakfast very limited. Hotel decor a little tired and dated - could do with a makeover.

"All been said really.Excellent value for money, comfortable, clean and welcoming. No complaints although next time I might bring a screwdriver!"

Nice little hotel.Friendly and courteous staff who appear to be the owners too.We did'nt have breakfast or dinner so cant'comment on that. Most things we needed were there and if they were'nt they were provided on request-i.e.hairdryer,extra coffee, fresh towels, lightbulb.Cleanliness was good.

These are not bad points and I appreciate this was not a full service hotel. However I did feel that the used towels could have been replaced when the room was made up,also tea/coffee/milk,etc.Fixtures and fittings need attending to.Hooks behind doors need replacing,a bathroom shelf would have been useful and just a little attention with a screwdriver for the odd things that have come loose,i.e.the bathroom towel rail.Double glazing would also be a good idea as the room was quite noisy being on the busy seafront. We were in room No.3 by the way.We are both airline crew so we stay in a lot of hotels and some of the points I've raised can be found in the best of them so St.Winnifreds is'nt doing too badly.

    "Not worth "

    There were none!

Hotel was very outdated and old fashioned. Had a very strong curry smell on the ground floor. Sign outside hotel states there's a cocktail bar! There was no draught lager. No fridges. We were offered warm cans of stella brought up from the celler. My cousin ordered a malibu and lemonade which was served in a pint pot! A third of which was Malibu and the rest was flat lemonade that looked like it had been sat on the side for years! Hotel room was very basic and old fashioned. Bedroom window did not shut properly so wind was howling through all night. Not enough towels for 2 people. 1 bath towel and 1 and towel for 2 people!

"Quite an adequate hotel, though rooms are a little small."

On street parking, access to beach.

Rooms and public areas could do with a bit of decoration. Lift has no internal door so young children need to be supervised to prevent accidents.

    "Atrocious hotel,ruined our weekend."

The hotel is a run down, 70,s style decor bed and breakast hotel. We booked three rooms, all of which had damp stains on the floor and ceilings. My daughters room had not been cleaned, with beer cans and dirty tissues in the room. All the shower curtains were covered in mildew. The stairwells were no better, with wallpaper hanging off the walls, paint peeling and damp patches everywhere. My daughters sink tap came off spraying water everywhere,She complained and got moved to a new room which had a new bathroom suite, flat screen tv,repainted walls and new windows!!!When asked why we could not have this room when we booked in,we were told we it was a new one and not available at the time of booking! To cap off the weekend, through the night we were not able to get any sleep as groups of men were partying and playing music, trying door handles and generally being a nuisance,We complained to the manager who basically did nothing much but knock on doors. We did not stay for breakfast and will not stay in one of these hotels again!!!This cost me

"As an overnight stay in Morecambe it was good value."

Friendly and welcoming staff, clean, plenty of towels and hot water, really nice breakfast, good position near, but not at, the crowded parts of the front.

No shelf in bathroom to put anything, shower falling off wall so tricky to shower, no bedside lights, bit mean with the teabags in the room -only got two! All these points could be put right in minutes!!

"I would stay there again and would recommend it. It was very clean and tidy with lots of room to sit if one did not want to go out."

All the staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming. I felt very comfortable there being on my own with a young child.

At breakfast I needed to keep asking for various items that shoud have come automatically IE milk with the tea, butter for the toast etc. But having said that, they were very busy.

Windows were left open when the room was cleaned, it was raining, therefore the water came in windows soaking carpet and making the whole bedroom damp. Toilet seat split. No sugar, milk or coffee. Had to sleep on towel, on top of the bed as it was too damp to sleep in the bed.

    "We enjoyed our stay"

Everything was fine, the meals were just right, not too big and not too small. The staff were very helpfully.

Smelt abit musty, could have done with a bit more airing of the downstairsrooms, but our bedroom was well aired
