"Quiet at night in our room...The view from our window was not very nice. Storage area and fire escape The room was clean and the beds were comfy."
Nice location for nightlife
Parking around hotel impossible due to permit only holders in streets. Very few parking spaces in hotel. If you try and park late in the day they are all gone. The lighting in the room was very poor.

"We will certainly use the hotel again.We slept soundly even though our room overlooked the road, there was very little noise. Enjoyed the walk into & back from the City Centre. Pleased to b able to park the car securely at no extra cost, and to see the security staff working. Lovely breakfasts with friendly efficient staff. Everybody was warm and helpful, with the two restaurants and the pub on site no need to move the car adding to our comfort. Osborne road is a clean, tidy location and my wife & I both feel that this hotel is suitable for all ages. Disabled users would also we think be very happy with facilities here. "
Good secure parking. Check-in prompt. Location. Proximity of City - walking distance. Regular reliable bus service with stops close by. Breakfast/breakfast service very good. Room very clean. Friendly staff. Scallinis & Louis both excellent. Osbornes pub really pleasant.
We booked dinner via receptionat Louis for 8/12 and Scallinis for 9/12. Neither booking was done correctly. We were slightly disappointed with our Superior Double Room No. 124, although at £70 per night for the two of us the Hotel still gives good value for money. The hot water in the bathroom was dangerously hot. Even though a small sign warns occupants, it really ought to be turned down a few notches. When I went to use the residents bar at 5.30pm on Tuesday 8/12 opening time 5.00pm it was not open.

The decor of the hotel was cheerful and sunny. They were in the process of laying a new carpet on the main staircase. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the room was spacious and comfortable.
There is limited parking at the rear of the hotel which I managed to get but I don't know what it would be like when very busy.

First allocated room was in itself excellent, but the noise of a ventilation fan outside the window was so bad that a room change was requested. Having booked a superior room, we felt that the replacement room was not a superior room, being considerably smaller than the first.

we left a camera in the room and when we called about it they found it for us and held it for us. Room was away from the very noisy bars.
Supposed to be a superior room but very average. all the literature showed much more lavish rooms.

Very convenient for centre of Newcastle. Jesmond great area for exclusive shops, good food and night life. Also convenient for excellent metro service so no driving into town for a night out!!!
Appreciate the reason for the minibar to be locked, but feel that there should be access to a small fridge to keep any water cold.

Central. Excellent breakfast and restaurants. Room was clean and bed comfortable.
We stayed on a warm summers day about 22 degrees outside on a second floor room which was like a sauna. The fan provided was completely inadequate and the window only opened 2 inches. Absolutely boiling hot and got no sleep all night!

lots of noise at nights, drunken people shouting, swearing and banging on other rooms' doors, setting the fire alarm on at 3 am. staff not speaking any language other than english, not even a few simple french words. they did not reassure anyone about the alarm that was going on for a good 20 minutes, it was utter chaos.cooked breakfast was undercooked, rewarmed, and stale.continental breakfast was fine.

"Overall OK, but they do really need to do something about the noise from the bars. Given that the quality of restaurant food in both restaurants is very good breakfast is always a disappointment with the buffet appearing and tastingto be made up low quality ingredients"

"Overall quite good, spoilt by performance of breakfast staff. Evening restaurant food quality and service both excellent - even if the restaurant is a bit lively"
Room very clean and well equipped, un fortunately next to air conditioning fans but these were turned off at 11.30 pm so not too much disturbance
Breakfast service and food quality - Waited ages for scrambled eggs to arrive only for them to be inedible, spoilt what was otherwise a good experience

"the hotel was in a great area for a night out or just having a meal and drink in the hotel. Only one very tiny complaint 11pm closing time for the bar on a Sturday night with no extra time for hotel guests, this left us ever to go out of the hotel if you wanted a late drink.The mini bar was no option due to the sky high prices charged. other then that a very satisfying stay and would definatly add this hotel to my list for going back to in the future. "

"I was a bit apprehensive as i have never booked a hotel online before but our overall experience was great from booking to checking-out! The rooms were big enough and the flat screen tv was fab!"
This hotel was located right in the heart of the restaurants and the pubs of Osbourne Road, so was great not to have to walk far.
The only minus - was that the cooked breakfast wouldnt of fed a small child and the plate that it was served on was served straight from a very hot oven and found it difficult to eat breakfast as kept catching wrist on the plate. Overall breakfast choice was good as in with the price of the hotel. But was looking forward to brekkie but was bit disappointed.. No beans either.. which is a must with a cooked brekkie..

Staff very friendly. Room was very spacious and clean and overall it was a very pleasant stay! Especially liked the TV and mini bar! Was also impressive that ironing board, iron and trouser press were provided in room. Location is ideal!
