There was no fore warning of a security deposit, although this was not an issue when informed, it was a surprise when asked to pay sucha sum of cash unprepaired

very convenient to transport system & city shopping..the Printworks which is an indoor precinct has many restaurants clubs & pubs & just round the corner from apartments

The whole experience was good - the rooms were lovely and to be upgraded was excellent!

The only bad point - and this was not the fault of the hotel - was the road being closed to the car park which caused some confusion - but the reception staff were very helpful.

My sex was changed on welcome letter which I thought was quite rude! Reception closed at 5pm.During booking I did mention late arrival. At 4:45pm I got a missed call from Premier Apartments, Manchester with no voicemail left. I called it back within 2 minutes and repeatedly tried till 5pm with no answer. I arrived with no understanding of how to get into the property from the street or how to obtain my room key. Eventually after 30 minutes I tracked a resident down and got an emergency mobile number.

"The stay in the apartment was booked on line. It was not made clear that despite having reserved accomodation on line and having securied the booking a credit card, the stay was not paid for until we arrived in manchester. This caused issues but was resolvable. What was not explained or so easily resolved was the security bond which was payable at a rate of £250.00 for one night. In effect, we paid £500 on arrival for one nights accomodation. As a mature adult and hotel owner I was annoyed that this had not been made fully clear to myself despite booking on line, and having telephone conversations to reception before our arrival. The monies were handed over, and the security deposit was paid by switch. We were not informed that although Premier Apartments would not take the security bond of £250 from my bank account, their holding of this money meant that I was unable to get these funds from my account either. Premier Apartments apologised but this did not affect the fact that it took them 10 days to remove their claim on a further £250 of my money. If essence, I stayed for one night at Premier Apartments, Manchester on Friday 2nd May 2008, paid them £500 for this and then recieved £250 security deposit back on Monday 12th May 2008."

Central location

We liked everything about the apartment but some door stoppers would have been nice as the internal doors in the apartment slammed shut everytime they were opened.

"As regular visitors to Manchester and having stayed in many different hotels this hotel probably rates as one of the best for us. It was the first time that we stayed in this hotel and it was a very enjoyable experience. The accomodation itself was very comfortable and well equipped. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very central location near all the main shops, restuarants, bars etc. Will definitely stay again."

The accomodation was modern, very clean, staff very friendly and very reasonably priced. Also in a great central location of the city.

Nothing to dislike

Apartment was spacious, clean and modern with all facilities required. Apart from plugs for the sink and bath?!

"It was comfortable and very clean. Everything we needed was provided, the staff were friendly and helpful and it was within easy reach of everything we wanted to visit. The level of heating was easily adjusted if required and we were not disturbed by any noise. We would thoroughly recommend it"

The cleaniliness, comfort and lovely staff

"A very secure building in a convenient location, with secure parking by prior arrangement. Lovely modern spacious rooms - our apartment had open plan lounge / dining / kitchen with digital tv and hifi; all mod cons comfy sofas, dishwasher, fridge, wifi etc. etc.. Beds very comfortable, our two-bedroom apartment had one bedroom with en-suite, plus a main bathroom. Seemed to be well sound-proofed as our stay was very quiet. All the staff were very polite, efficient and friendly. Normal checkout is 12:00 so you don't have to rush out like you do in some hotels. Our only minor problem was that the tv in our lounge, when used on digital channels, decided to occasionally keep switching channel all by itself; but I'm sure this was a one-off problem which will have been fixed since we reported it. All in all, unless you really feel the need for an on-site restaurant / bar / swimming pool and there's no shortage of the first two, at least, within a short distance of this hotel then this is truly great value for money. Can't recommend it highly enough."

"These apartments are fantastic if you want to stay close to the shops and to the MEN arena, both of which are a 2 min walk away. The apartments are very well equipped and very smart. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. We were so impressed by them that we are planning to stay again very soon."

The corridor carpet was a little on the grubby side.

Large fully equipped apartment, felt like a being at home rather than being in a hotel.

We asked for a non smoking room but were given a smoking room and it absolutely reaked of cigarettes. Really quite unpleasant for two non smokers. We really needed to keep the windows open but it was too cold to do that. On complaint the hotel said that they can't guarantee a non smoking room which for the price we paid I don't think is on.

"Really enjoyed the stay so no negatives - the girls on reception were particularly helpful and pleasant and the room was lovely. Very convenient for the Manchester Areana and local shops and bars. The breakast place next door is great."

The hotel was very clearn and modern, with extremely large rooms. The location is perfect for the M.E.N, printworks and Ardale and is opposite a NCP car park.

The clearning staff where very pushy to get you out your room, and there was no hot water in the morningthis reason is unknown. The staff at reception refuse to answer the phone, but there overall atuitude is good.

The apartment was clean, neat and spacious. Location was perfect for the MEN arena and the rest of Manchester. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay again if heading to Manchester.

The View

The accommodation was in a great location and was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were very clean and modern. Also the secure car parking was a bonus.

There was nothing I disliked about the accommodation.

"Good position. Standard of accommodation perfectly adequate. Kitchen equipped with minimum but all we needed for light meals- perhaps salt and pepper, washing up liquid etc could be provided."

Burns marks on bedroom carpet looked really tatty, one bedside light didn't work, old towels.

Our premier apartment was two bedrooms and it was spot on, we came to manchester for the weekend and a concert and we enjoyed every second,thanks f Everything, the apartment had all we needed and was very clean.
