"Great fun."
Hotel was central to Bournemouth and easy walking disctance to local facilities, great, as long as you dont mind a hill walk.
The room was small and did back on to the kitchen facilities which was quite noisy.

"Pleasant relaxing break."
Friendly staff.Good manager.Really good variety for breakfast. Nice quiet hotel.
Very hot hotel felt like the heating was on all of the time, had to have windows open all of the time. If the weather had been hot it would have been roasting.

"After changing my first single room which had a broken TV aerial and a wardrobe door that bashed against the inter-connecting door to the next room each time it was opened, the second room was adequate and other facilites were generally good. Overall a good price for two nights with a good breakfast."
Good location for seafront, town and local reataurants. Friendly, helpful staff. Good Breakfast Nice leisure pool.
Small single room. Over-subscribed car park. Inter-connecting door between single rooms afforded little privacy and noise/sound reduction.

Excellent customer service, especially from the restaurant staff. Good food and very clean, comfortable room. Lovely pool. I really enjoyed my stay and would have no hesitation in booking again with your hotel chain.

"Good holiday overall and a hotel that I would return, especially given the refurbishment programme. Pay the extra for a superior room which I understand have been refurbished and are of excellent quality. The room was a little dated especially the 1980s bathroom and certainly in need of refurbishment, which I understand a programme is currently in progress. The location of the hotel was excellent with adequate parking and the communal areas are of a good standard. The bar food and breakfast were good with excellent friendly service."
Excellent location friendly efficient and attentive staff very good bar food
Advertised as having an outdoor pool when in fact on arrival this pool had been filled in with hardcore and in the process of creating a garden on the site of the old outdoor pool. I notice that the website has now been corrected. The breakfast was very good with an excellent selection. A minor criticism was the standard of the sausage. In addition the mushrooms had been cooked in water, were poor quality and quite a let down. No air conditioning-The room became very hot during a typical good summers day with little ventilation other than a room fan. Dated bathroom in need of refurbishment. The bathroom although generally clean was in need of a thorough clean and attention to the cleaning of the thick dust behind the toilet and grubby foor in this area.

Car Parking, Position and Food
Reception person not friendly on this occasion

The room was clean and the staff very friendly
The room was smaller than indicated. I think a tray charge of £3.00 for breakfast is ludicrous how else is the food included in the cost supposed to get to your room???? And there was a large hair on one of the breakfasts!

"10 out of 10. We have stayed in numerous hotels in the UK, some have been seaside, country or city hotels and this is by far the best one yet. Some hotels seem to forget that service is all important. This one certainly scored top marks - service was amazing. Well done!"
From the moment we arrived the staff were always polite, helpful and professional. The restaurant manager and staff were outstanding in their level of service. The bar staff were very welcoming and made you feel relaxed and at ease - not always the case at some hotels. Leisure facilities very good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. 10 out of 10 for this hotel. Looking forward to our next stay.
Sorry - but there were none!

"Overall a very pleasant stay with only minor quibbles."
Nice Hotel good situation for City Centre, seafront and Bournemouth Internatiional Centre. Used swimming pool, very nice. Comfortable room. First class breakfast with very pleasant and helpful staff.
Did not sleep very well, found mattress uncomfortable. Room was a little too warm for us. Did not find the coffee very palatable.

"We enjoyed our stay at the Connaught very much and would certainly book at the hotel again."
Free parking on site but one of the car parks is tight when hotel busy; spacious room and bathroom superior twin; cleanliness of our room and public rooms; evening bar meal was good; breakfast was plentiful and excellent; staff helpful and friendly; reception particularly helpful when we had to change our dates at short notice because of snowfall at home; our overall opinion of the Connaught is very positive - it gives the impression of being well run with attention paid to detail.
One of the lounge areas was a little draughty for relaxing as staff needed to keep some internal doors open to move chairs from room to room - but in fairness the weather was pretty inclement at the time - just a minor point.

" Fine for a trouble-free,relaxing stay. Spa facilities a bit disappointing as the sauna was out of action."
The hotel was clean, modern fittings and fixtures in pleasant Victorian gentelman's residence and well located for access to the centre of Bournemouth. It was in a quiet sidestreet and had pleasant public areas. The room was of a good size and well equipped. The parking facilities were good.
Stayed on first floor. There was loud noise from a door clunking heavily shut for much of the evening. Breakfast was good - though the coffee was run-of-the-mill.

Excellent dinner in the restaurant with excellent service.

"I would not have stayed here if I had known the room would be as above; the evening before we stayed in Winchester for the same price for far superior accomodation."
Nice breakfast with friendly catering and waiting staff; centrally located
Terrible 70s decor; room designated for disabled people which we didn't require or want; wardrobe doors failing to close and falling off fixtures; dirty outside pool which was an eyesore; inattentive check-in staff; shower with very limited water pressure that kept turning hot and cold

"The hotel was kept in excellent condition and despite the location near a main road and nearby bars the hotel was actually very quiet, ensuring a decent nights' rest. The short walk to the town centre, the BIC and the beach make this a very convenient place to stay; whatever you're doing in Bournemouth."
Freindly, helpful staff and a very clean and quiet hotel. The location for Bournemouth town centre and leisure facilities was also excellent.
Curious availability of a full bar service.
from Bristol UK, stayed on February 29, 2008
"The hotel is great value for money very clean with the room we had being decorated and furnished to a high standard. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would have liked the room layout before booking along with a plan of the hotel facilities. Apart from this it was a most enjoyable stay."
Very clean lots of space to move around
Hairdryer a little cramped behind the tv

very comfortable atmosphere, staff very welcoming and helpful
Kettle in room mounted above area for cups, mounted on cracked plastic shelf as a result I believe that there is a likelihood of kettle falling/tipping over and scolding user.
