"The room I stayed in was the lilac, it was tiny but clean as was the bathroom. The on street parking is quite a walk away. There was an extra 5% charge for paying by credit card which was not shown."

The room was clean and bright.

Extra charge, parking.Biscuits 3 months out of date.

"The room was clean and a good size with it's own bathroom. The information beforehand, and some reviews, made it seem as if there were lots of rules and regulations shoes, food in the rooms. But this was not our experience. The location was fine if you are ok about a short walk into town. I wish I had known about the restricted parking before travelling and had better instructions on how to get to the House by car. We got lost around Bath!! The owner was great, very helpful. A good, economical, base for a weekend in Bath."

    Clean, conveniently located. Friendly owners.

Lack of parking but this is normal in Bath

"The single yellow room is tidy and clean. The shared shower is newly fitted in, but it's just next to the room. So, if people in the other room use it late, it will be very disturbing. The lady working in the hotel is very helpful, and I like the free breakfast in bed service. Plus the wireless internet, it's worth of money."

nice, clean, with free wireless access and free breakfast in bed. That's a great experience, and I would like to choose it again if I am going to visit Bath.

the location is abit far awar from town, and it's quite dark in the area. It doesn't feel safe for a single female to walk around alone during night time.

"The accomodation is reasonably close to the town centre. and there was a small fridge in the room."

The room was cramped. The Ironing board that was available on request, only just fitted into the space available. Reception on the TV was terrible.

"The annex is listed under Rohan house which is confusing and I had to check several websites before I could covince myself that it was a different building set in town. You really could make much more of the fact that it is literally next door to the Spa itself and is in fact in an adjoining building to the Vistor Centre. The arrangements for checking in were quite unconventional and I'm sure could be off putting to someone less adventurous. I don't think there was sufficient information about access - certainly it would have been impossible for someone physically disabled. Finally we panicked because it said we couldn't check in beyond 7pm after booking and mentioning that we would be arriving late when in fact it turned out to be no problem at all. Still I'd definitely use again having found it - it's a real little treasure."

We stayed in the annex in town and it was absolutely perfect for the Bath Spa which was next door. We also enjoyed the large kitchen facility and the lovely location. it's an Elizabethan house in absolutely immaculate condition and it felt very homely. The person who checked us in was also very pleasant and incredibly helpful.

The TV was very small and on top of the wardrobe which was not good for ageing eyesight. Although ti was not a difficulty for us there was no lift and with several flights of stairs I doubt if this would be sitable for anyone without a reasonable degree of fitmess.

Fantastic location, beautiful and interesting building and great room.

Slighty oppressive nature of patron - felt a little as though we were under surveillance.

"Well positioned for walks in to town and a quiet location a short way away from the centre of town and facing away from the railway line."

The shower and the friendliness of the staff

NO BREAKFAST!, even though there was a well equiped kitchen and dinning area, and food was not aloud to be consumed in the room.

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and the room I stayed in was very comfortable and relaxing. I appreciated the fect that guests were asked to be quiet between certain hours and that the hotel was none smoking. The hotel was also within walking distance of the town centre, which was useful as I do not drive."

I liked the fact that it had ensuite, a bath and TV and DVD player. The room facilities did list fridge though, and this was in fact way down on the ground floor, NOT in the room, perhaps that should be changed as I was mislead by it.

The fact that it was up so many flights of stairs in a very hot climate. I would have liked that information available to me to allow me to possibly decide differently.

"I stayed at Roban House for one night and it was just the right place to stay. While it is not in the city centre, where most of the sightseeing is it is just a short, pleasant walk across the river. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Bath."

Rob and Ann were very friendly and helpful - provided lots of information about Bath.

    Lack of parking

"The information upfront was that unclear that an hotel was expected but appeared to be a boarding house without the possibility of served breakfast nor attached parking."

Room was large, very good maintained,

The enourmeous noice during the night and morning. Many Trains pass very nearby and between the tracks and the backyard a lumber-factory is causing a lot of noice in the morning.

"I wanted somewhere which was near to the centre, and it could not have been more so; and because I was met, which I did not expect, it took that worry away.It would have been useful to have known Iwas going to be met though. The building, and room had character, which was nice and different, the place was spotless, which was extremely important to me. Can't really fault it."

Had everything that I needed, was very clean, and I really liked the way that I was collect from the station and shown to my appartment

"I stayed at the main house, which is a moderate, slightly uphill walk from the train and bus stations. Service was friendly, room and shared bathroom were very clean. Some noise from the train tracks, which are downhill from the hotel, but otherwise quiet."

Very clean, newly updated bathroom and room.

"The location was great, but it would have been nice to check into the same building, instead of one across town. It was strange that one of the hotel workers asked to ride in our car to the hotel. When it was time to check out, there was nobody to be found; we waited for 20 minutes for someone to show up for us to check out."

"As hotel is self-catered it would be helpful to know of convenient restaurants which provide breakfast in the area. For next visit we would be more organised & would bring some food with us for breakfast. We enjoyed our brief stay & would certainly stay again & recommend to others. Many thanks"

Convenient to town centre, clean, friendly staff.

In fact all the rooms looked like they were newly decorated throughout the house. There were lots of interesting pictures hanging on the walls which gave it a homey and welcoming feel. The location in bath. The room was huge with big windows.

"Great affordable place to stay for a couple that includes the comforts of home, with kind and helpful hosts. The walk into town seemed a bit longer than 10 minutes- maybe more like 20- and confusing the first time you do it, but after that it was no problem."

Very clean and comfortable, and the two people running it are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
