    "Hotel fine. Booking process failed."

Hotel didn't have my 'Active Hotels' booking that I had made that morning. Fortunately they had 2 rooms available.

"Clean and location was good but rooms need A/C."

Location was god near to the shops and bars.

Room was too stuffy and warm. No air conditioning and window would not open so unable to get any fesh air into the room making sleeping difficult. Fire alarms went off at 4.20am and we were outside for 40 mins with no explannation for why it went off every one was just left outside.

"excellent nights sleep but visit was spoiled by the poor breakfast offered"

    clean room excellent location

parking was a good 5+ minutes from the hotel with no drop off facilities for luggage breakfast was extremely basic given the price of the room - for an equivalent price I have since found out I could stay at a hotel in a similar location in city centre with parking, leisure facilities and full cooked breakfast very basic entertaiment facilities

"Very friendly and helpful staff - not only in reception but everyone we came into contact with. We found this to be an ideal base from which to explore the area due to its proximity to the bus and rail stations."

Pleasant room. Very good continental breakfast.

Beiong woken by the noise of bins being moved in the early morning in the back alleyway below our room.

"this is the second time we have stayed at this particular hotel and would reccomend it to all our friends."

I would find it hard to fault this particular hotel or the staff we were very well looked after and the staff could not be better.

"I was very pleasantly surprised by the standard of accommodation for the room rate. The breakfast choice was excellent, the beds were very comfortable and the shower room facilities very good. Although I didn't make use of it,I particularly liked the offer of toiletries if I had forgotten anything. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the standard of decor and cleanliness was first rate, and I will definitely stay there again."

The hotel and especially the room looked as if they belonged in a hotel with a much higher tariff.

"The only compliant was that the television sound was faulty."

"We have stayed at this hotel before therefore were aware of the excellent facilities and accessibility, we will probably return to this venue."

The fact that it is central, easily accessible from train and car park. It is a lovely clean building, and we enjoy the hot chocolate!

Minor point - we felt the lighting in the room could have been brighter. A cooked breakfast would be good.

    location

small tv, street noise level loud, although a room the rear of the hotel will cut this down considerably.

"Room was small but had every thing I required"

    Close to centre of town

    none

Very helpful hotel staff. Ideal location. Competitive price which included breakfast.

My only complaint was lack of bathroom towels. Only 1 small bath towel and 1 hand towel per person. not family

"If you have a disability then this is not the place for you. There is no offer of help with your luggage and no place for a taxi to drop you off except at traffic lights. The rooms are quite spacious and well presented, although I had a problem with the kettle not working unless I put a cup on top of it. The bathroom had a damp smell, which I think was coming from the shower curtain. I did not partake of any of the free breakfast. I thought it was a bit expensive for what it was, overall."

The room was fine apart from the things I disliked quoted below.

I didn't like the fact that there was a damp smell in the bathroom and that there was no assistance with luggage, etc. The kettle in the room was not working properly and I had to sit a mug on top of it in order that it would work. Also, there was no electric socket beside the mirror for the use of tongs/straighteners.

The staff were excellent and it was in a great location for the centre of town.

The only seemed to be one Iron in the hotel.

"The only criticism that I would have apart from the time taken to check in was the level of noise in the bedroom from the traffic outside."

Its location, it was clean and compact, value for money.

Had to wait almost one hour to check in.
