"Clean, comfortable and located near to train station."
Generally, everything went according to plan, no hickups.
No bad points. Though the location is quite central but would have preferred the location to be a bit nearer to the main shopping areas.

"Lovely and really enjoyable."
Easy to find. As a train passenger it was within walking distance of the station and of the city centre. We used the hotel as we went to an event at the arena and was within 10 minutes walking distance.

Online Booking System SUGGESTED that Smoking Rooms were available. This was, in fact, a full No-Smoking Hotel. The Online Booking System is faulty.

in a walkable location to city centre
no hotel parking..so have to trust on road parking then get up early and feed the meter

"Quite acceptable"
Good location, good breakfast, good room/beds and bathroom.
slow check-in/out, cooked breakfast items not hot enough, ready-mix hot drinks not wonderful. Towels seem a bit thin/tired.

"Very nice, will stay there again if in the area!"
Overall very nice, thought out details such as overlapping curtains - much impressed! Nice breakfast buffe.
Breakfast not included in price, expensive. Weird toaster, and there should be more than one very long queuing time to get toast.

The room was well furnished, clean and of a good size. It had a panoramic view of the city. It was in a central location, close to the train station and city centre. The member of staff who checked me in ensured that I had a room on a higher floor.
Only one person to check in guests and there was a little queue when I arrived. No complimentary biscuits or hot chocolate. No pen in the room.

"WILL COME AGAIN SOON"
All staff well dressed and smart and know there job
BAR TOO EXSPENSIVE AND THE RESTARANT COULD HAVE BEEN MORE INVITING AND WHEN ORDER COMES ALL EXTRAS COME AT THE SAME TIME AS THE MAIN MEAL

A very efficient and clean hotel

"A good experience"
Most of the staff were personable and helpful. Plenty of towels. Room was quiet despite the fact that the hotel was busy and lively Convenient to the train station and skylink for the airport
Quality of juices for breakfast was poor Breakfast a little pricey

"Our "mature" friends also put on Hens & Stags floor-very disturbed night. Nowhere to drop off bags, we did & were lucky to get back to car while ticket being written.Car park quite a long walk away if you have much luggage. Breakfast not up to much"
Room was clean, hotel sevices OK
We were checked into wrong room, other guests double booked & got into our room with their key! Luckily we were there otherwise total strangers would have had access to our personal possessions! Security? Had to move as we were on Hens & Stags floor, 2nd room better as 1st was very gloomy with tiny tinted glass window.

"Was not made to feel like a valued customer. The receptionist could have been more attentive to my needs in terms of the failed booking and allocating my room. I was fortunate in that my stay was little more than 12 hours in total. That said I will not let one unprofessional member of staff cloud my view. The failed booking however is less easy to forgive and there are numerous other websites to choose from. What would I have done had there not been a room for me? "
Easy booking but see below, clean room, with sufficient facilities for overnight stay. Reasonable breakfast. Good value for B& B.
Hotel had no record of booking. Receptionist surly as though this was my fault. Eventually checked in next to a rowdy stag party group. Had to request a change of room. Disappointed restaurant was closed as this was one of the reasons for booking this hotel. Had to go into City Centre for dinner - not impressed. Same receptionist gave me mis information regarding my onward journey.

"Location of hotel is very good, within walking distance of both the railway station and the Arena. Some confusion with the booking arrangements but very quickly sorted out. The room we were given was clean and well decorated with very comfortable beds. The only downside was the room being too warm overnight as unable to turn the heating down below 16 degrees. The bar meal we had was very good as was the buffet breakfast which provided a good choice of both hot and cold food. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again. "
Friendly staff. Room clean and well decorated. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast provided overall was good.
Very warm in room overnight and unable to turn heating down below 16 degrees.

One of the better hotels that I have stayed in in the last few years
Need ear plugs as the air conditioning unit is a bit loud for a light sleeper, but it didn't spoil my stay

"An enjoyable experience, would recommend to friends and family."
Close to town centre, not far from nightlife
Parking was an issue, we was not told about the car parking facilities nearby.

"Good"
easily accesible
vat had been reduced to 15% but the bar still charged me 17.5% for a meal

"Hotel ok but could really do beter on the parking front. Food was good and rooms very well kept."
Rooms well kept and food was good
Parking for the hotel to far away, I had to wait in the rain for around 10 minuets for the hotel bus, only to be then greeted the grumpy bus driver who charged me £6 for the privilege of parking my car for 1 night!

"Good, I'd happily stay here again. "
Clean, modern and friendly hotel. Staff are very helpful. Despite being near a busy main road bedrooms are well insulated so not that noisy.
Parking is a pain! I'd prefer proper room service rather than order and fetch your self.

"Not too bad but I would have preferred to stay in the Holiday Inn, which I will do next time. "
Clean, new
Very small room, poor window, noisy, air con didnt seem to work, car park was miles away and cost a tenner.

Main problem of the hotel is the lack of an adjacent car park.

Hotel was absolutely fine
Room a bit spartan, but that's is being hyper critical
from Highbridge UK, stayed on July 28, 2008
"Fantastic location and a very attractive building. Staff friendly, knowledgeable about the city and attentive to needs. The hotel both benefits and suffers from being an old building of character. Modernisation might compromise the old world feel, but would make guest experiences better"
Wonderful building, located in the heart of Lancaster, a short walk from the railway station.
The hotels fixture and decor are adequate and clean, but are showing their age - for example taps which are hard to turn off, missing TV remote controls, decor tired.

"Overall it was fine and boosted considerably by the politeness and helpfulness of the staff"
The staff were excellent and very friendly, the location was excellent
The carpark was a nightmare but to be fair we tried to find it ourselves without asking anyone! The room was fine and clean but not great value for money

"We got what we expected in terms of accommodation & value for money. There was little choice by the time we booked. Nothing to complain about; nothing to enthuse about. Would stay there again in similar circumstances."
Staff helpful; convenient location
Car park off site. Not much charm.

"It would be much helpful for us to know when the hotel's building constructed. It will helpful for us what the accommodation is, a newer one or an older. In England, there are so many older buildings used as hotels, in where the accommodations are not new and inconvenient, particularly bath rooms have been using since the end of 1800's or the last century. It seems that Jurys Inn is a contemporary business hotel fixed with the newer accommodations. It was a good point for me this time. In Japan almost of all business hotels have such a accommodation although room sizes are a bit smaller than yours."
The bath room.

"Very impressed with this hotel which was excellent value for money at £67 per night for a double room with an excellent breakfast include The hotel is within walking distance of Nottingham centre and although there is no parking onsite there was a secure car park available just a few minutes away. Would definately stay again if working in Nottingham. "
