"Enjoyed stay and was prepared for wedding party as hotel took the trouble to ring me. However if I decided to cancel your cancellation policy i.e holding my money for a year is totally unaceptable - so really had no choice."
Staff Food in Monty's restaurant was excellent
You should have told me that there was a wedding that day and the Fine dining restaurant would not be available. Also that the wedding did take over the whole hotel

It was a treat to stay at The Montegu Arms - the staff couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. Cetainly the dinner we shared with friends who had come over with us to attend the same function the installation of the new Vicar of Beaulieu was a real high point of the visit. I must make special mention of the receptionist at the Hotel who was excellent in every way.
Not being able to stay longer! that was a real disappointment as the waether was so good and the surroundings so congenial.

"Generally a very nice hotel, accommodation very good, with the hotel staff being of good quality; let down a little by the choice in the menu and the cost of drinks and Montys bar."
very olde world attractive hotel in a very nice location; the village itself quaint but little to see or do. The staff and service were very good with all staff being very helpful and pleasant. Delightful garden patio area.
The menu was limited and of a style that whilst i am sure being of very good quality, lacked consideration for those guests who may not enjoy rather exotic/rich foods but would enjoy top quality simpler foods. It seemed to me to be more of a Chef's personal statement as to his ability. The drinks in both the hotel and Montys bar were I feel overpriced and Monthy's bar was not exactly a glowing advert for the hotel, with cleanliness being an issue and the menu/specials menu not a great choice.

Clean,Comfortable,bright well decorated.
For a double room,two chairs to sit on in the room would be most welcome.A light over the mirror in the bathroom to assist shaving/make-up should be considered.

Level of service was excellent with nothing too much trouble
Having both an electric toothbrush & shaver , bathroom did not have enough sockets to accommodate both.

Room: heated towel rail not working, light in wardrobe broken, blockage in bath outflow.
