"Staying here was one of the most pleasant things I experienced in Glasgow and will definitely stay here again next time."

The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly, especially the kind, elderly gentleman in the evening shift at the Reception. His advices on where to go and what to do in Glasgow and his funny anecdotes made my trip all the more enjoyable.

good location in a nice part of the city. quick and easy to book on the internet at short notice. bathroom and bed was clean

Decor very tired and shabby. Wall paper held up with blu-tack and there was a hole in the bathroom door. Needs a lot of work. The Rennie Mackintosh inspiration ends at the top of the stairs! The

"Very good - more than I expected- very good value for money. Very pleasantly surprised."

For a "value for money" hotel, this really is one of the best I have stayed in- £32 got me a single en suite room furnished with wardrobe, desk, bed, tv. tea/coffee, basically everything I wanted for my brief stay. The room and hotel were of a good standard of cleanliness and decor- I even got complimentary shampoo and a breakfast! Travel lodge do not stretch to that and although the room was not as large a a Travel lodge it was of equal standard. I strongly object to paying for expensive hotels when you are only putting your head down for the night, but sometimes "Value for Money" hotels severely disappoint- not this one- I will be using this one for all my stays in Glasgow from now on. I need to mention the efficient check in- I was quickly warned that I needed to get a ticket to park as the wardens are "Hot" around here- I paid my £2! and everything else was done for me- I just had to put the ticket in the car window, check in was very efficient after that. All in all a very good stay with a hotel doing more than it said on the tin. What a find.

Only one pillow although I did not bother to ask for another one which I probably would have got

No T.V. remote also unable to get all channels. Peeling wallpaper and cobwebs on the cieling. Decor of hotel was very 'tired' and seemed to have a minmum of maintenance

"I will not stay there again."

One member of staff was very helpful and professional, customer service from other was poor, I think this was down to the lack of traning.

Overall, poor accomodation and poor parking facilities.

"The hotel had a very friendly atmosphere. The room was clean although could use some redecoration and the bed was pretty old. There was a broken mirror in the room when we arrived and had to ask for that to be taken out which it was the next day; it was not replaced though. But that said we would stay again."

    good atmosphere, friendly, clean

    redecoration; old furniture

    Cheap

Room was not very clean bathroom as well. There was a big mark on the duvet cover.

"If we could have found somewhere else, within our budget we would not have stayed. It was certainly not worth £50 per night."

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The extremely rickety bed held up and did not collapse in a heap..very grateful for that

The run down quality of the fixtures and furniture. The remnants of previous guests arguments on the walls...i.e. what looked like a coffee stain on the wall above the bed.

    "Reasonably happy until payment."

Breakfast was good and served early to allow for traffic. Room was small but adequate

Tried to cancel one night but was told by staff that as I had booked through Active 7 days was required, therefore I had to pay for the last night even though I was not there. Tried to make me pay for phone call I had not made even though I showed them my mobile phone to prove I would not need to use the room phone.
